There's an anticlimatic end? In a Mario game? A series which has involved the dramatic wonder of a CAKE before now? Surely not. Lest we forget the brilliance that was 'I'm sorry, but our Princess is in another castle... Just kidding! Ha ha ha! Bye bye.'.

Truely, these finales were the epitome of dramatic excellence.

Dude. SMB3's ending was the best ending ever. They mutilated the text in the GBA version though

Also, none of them were an RPG. (Unless you count MRPG, but that was made by another company )

I think the GBA version has a direct translation of the original Japanese version's text. They changed the text into the 'joke' for the English versions.

My point was that Mario games aren't known for their incredible plots so I'm not exactly expecting a stunning ending. The little plot points within the game have been dang cool so far, though. Especially the little twist after crossing the ocean... That's how far I've got, anyway.

Well, yeah, Mario games are known to have these things with their plots, but I think with the latest adventure of Mario, Paper Mario. The plot actually has a lot more than the usual Mario game, possibly the most, in my opinion. Mario games don't NEED to be known for their incredible plots as the gameplay of the game speaks for itself. Why do you think Sonic has simple plots to it, because the player would be caring too much about how fast they're beating the stage or too busy being the boss of that zone to notice...

Oh man. The mario endings have varied in suckiness, but the worst was Mario Sunshine. That's why I'm very glad they didn't put voice acting in Paper Mario 2, even though some people bitched about having to read.

Agreed, Mario Sunshine not only had the saddest Bowser boss fight ever, but the ending didn't have anything to make up for it. Mario 64's cake did a DAMN BETTER JOB!

And... people bitched about having to read? Man, it seems that the laziness of the world have jumped up 10 points now. What next, people bitching about typing long words like... "for" instead of "4"...

Well, consider that "joke" wasn't in the orginal japanse version of SMB3. It was something that the translators apparently added.

...but yeah, that they took it away. Just bad...
