Originally posted by JesperYeah, but editing existing options can also be used to make it look like people voted for things they didn't, as in this insidious example. Imagine the implications! Windwaker made it look like people actually think he's cool. Also, I was thinking... it would make sense to have all the votes go through at once, meaning in multi-vote polls each option would have a checkbox, then you'd check the ones you want and hit submit or whatever. Except it wouldn't do anything if you checked all of the boxes or none of them, because those are useless votes. And for consistency, single-vote polls could have radio buttons. On the other hand, widgets are ugly. (edited by Zem on 01-24-05 02:06 PM) |

I know what you mean One question I have that I forgot to ask in my previous post is this: what happens if you remove a poll choice that has some votes? It would make sense that the other percentages would reflect that, but I thought I'd ask anyways. Edit: This is off-topic for this thread, but I thought I'd stick it in here anyways. I just clicked the 'Edit' link to fix a spelling mistake I made, and now there's a whole bunch of 'br' tags in my signature I didn't put those in there either Does that happen to anyone else? Originally posted by KaradurYes... yes it does. Evidently it translates newlines into <br>\n and uses that in editpost.php, instead of the original layout content. It only started doing this again in this last update. I told Jesper about it via PM, but I bug him about everything I notice via PM, so I'm never sure if he's paying attention. =p |

Hm, you could make a string that uses strlen to get the length of the poll, and then compare it to the previous length; if it's too much shorter/longer, it doesn't edit the poll. | |||

Er, each field in the poll. For each field edited and not added, you could see how its size is in comparison to the unedited field's size. |
