It seems that Firefox's built-in download manager splits large downloads into multiple smaller downloads...this causes problems when downloading from sites that will ban users if they try to download multiple files at the same time. How do I prevent it from wrongly triggering this type of ban? (I actually didn't know it did this until I tried to download one file (which was about 1.48 MB) from [site that I won't name] and it said I was banned for downloading 15 files at once.) My version of firefox doesn't have an option that allows you to disable it. I would think the makers would put one in but they don't. Maybe you can suggest that as something they should do or try the latest version. | |||

I dunno how to remove it, but try looking at about:config. There's probably something that could help (that'd be something about max download connexions, etc) |
