Dark Horse Comics has announced plans to release a special 25-cent, 24-page TRIGUN comic book next month titled WOLFWOOD. Serving as an introduction to the second volume in the Japanese anime series, Dark Horse is hoping that the specially priced book will attract new fans from comic book patrons as well as grab the interest of fans of the anime that may not have heard of the TRIGUN comic series before.

Formatted just as one of the Japanese manga comics would be, so that the reader follows the story by reading right-to-left across the page, the special issue centers on Wolfwood, the fighting priest that is friend to Vash the Stampede in the TRIGUN universe. The comic will examine Wolfwood's quest to understand Vash's vow to never kill another human again, as well as feature plenty of action for the two adventurers to face.

With art and writing by Yasuhiro Nightow, the 25-cent TRIGUN: WOLFWOOD will hit store shelves on February 9, while the first issue of the second TRIGUN volume arrives on February 23.

Very intresting indeed. Hopefully I'll get this at my anime/comic store.

25 cents?

I'll bet my quarters that shops will boost this to at least $1. Even then...

Sounds interesting, and I hope they do a good job with it. With only 25 pages, I probably wont even try to go out of my way to get this though. Too lazy.

And why not?

Chances are I'll never actually see this though.

It's an excelent idea... So many people need an introduction to Trigun and a little Nicky D. Wolfwood backstory will be warmly welcomed

I'm sure someone will get it from America, I'll check up on Forbiden Planet in London when it comes out

Love and peace!

25 / 24 = 1.04 cents a page, relatively speaking.

Eh... Maybe I'll keep an eye out for it given that it's only a quarter (50 cents in Canada? ) but I go to comic stores... like... once every 3 blue moons.

Cheap Manga = Everybody Wins.

If I see this in my local bookstore/comicbook store, I'm picking it up, no question.
