| I have been trying to apply for one for a while. They all say I don't have credit that allows me to have a credit card. How can I get good credit if I can't get a credit card? Any one have any suggestions? | |||

| Try applying for ones specifically targeted for college students (i.e. with decent introductory rates and giant ones afterwards). I was denied for my fair share of credit cards before getting the two I have now. | |||

| Kario: sometimes you have to lie a little about your monthly income. They don't do much of a background check for most of the ones geared towards young people. Hell, there are all kinds of offers around my campus where it's just "Sign up for a credit card, get a shirt" or something. Put down like $1000/ month and see if you get that next card. |

| O_o I get pre-approval notices for credit cards all the time. Of course, I now have two, though I just found out I missed a payment last month.  Oh well. |
