I havnt found any pictures yet, so just read this... Mario Seen Dribbling, Peach Slam Dunks It's official: Nintendo All-Stars will hit NBA Street V3. January 05, 2005 - What was rumored is now confirmed: Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach will hit the court in the GameCube version of NBA Street V3, Electronic Arts' third installment of off-the-league arcade-style basketball. Of course, the game will also feature plenty of NBA stars, including returning players from previous NBA Street installments. Mario and friends will comprise the Nintendo All-Stars team, and will also compete individually in the game's new slam dunk contest. "We're very excited to be able to incorporate the Nintendo All-Stars, as well as their own authentic Nintendo court, into NBA Street V3," said V3 executive producer Wil Mozell. "There's nothing quite like seeing Mario, Luigi and Peach taking the over-the-top gameplay of NBA Street V3 to the extreme as they square off against some of today's top NBA stars and all-time greats." The decision will surprise GameCube fans, who are used to seeing simple ports of major sports titles from companies like EA. It may also offer Nintendo an edge this time around; while Street V3 is also coming to PlayStation 2 and Xbox, the Nintendo characters are, as you might imagine, GameCube exclusives. "Nintendo's characters have always proved they can compete on the world stage," said George Harrison at Nintendo of America. "Now they'll show that they can compete on the streets as well. NBA Street V3 is under development at Electronic Arts Canada and is expected to hit the streets in February. (edited by Sion on 01-07-05 12:31 PM) |

And that's exactly how they get people to buy games. Toss in a few exclusives Though, I have to admit... I like how they consider tossing in exclusives like that, despite the fact that they're just trying to milk a cash cow... Playing with Mario isn't gonna motivate me to buy that game, however. Just isn't up my alley (but I still wouldn't mind playing ) |

This gives people with no street cred whatsoever (IE me ) a reason to play it. I would personally love to dunk all over Allen "Captain Ballhog" Iverson with Peach.

I dont have an account with Gamespot so I cant see it but the pics look wierd. It looks like Mario is holding a tennis ball instead of a basketball. Can someone describe the trailer?

Basketball seems more fitting than golf or tennis for Mario and Luigi. Especially when you consider that their main talent is jumping. Makes sense to me. I actually expected it to happen sometime, though that doesn't make it any less interesting.

Originally posted by SionNeither do I, and it worked just fine for me. Anyway, it's the standard sort of trailer, until near the end when you see Mario, Luigi, and Peach playing. |

Ha. It's not enough to milk a title that sells great like NBA Street franchise has. You have to throw something else like Nintendo characters in there for extra insentive. Ha

...Why would they need extra incentive? If anything, at least EA's saying "Oops, sorry that we can't have online play in your game, so here's a few bonuses". They didn't have to. |

To view the trailer, you have to click on the streaming video, which contains a movie trailer or some other ad before it plays. NBA street was a cool game, I bought the first one on PS2 when it first came out, but I don't know though. Nothing in the trailer looked ground breaking. |

Oh, just fucking great. Allowing EA to touch these characters. Way to encourage the DESTRUCTION of a beloved franchise. EA + Incentive to hold character rights = death. |

They seemed so out of it. Their bright and colorful appearances stood out very strongly against the other players Man.. I was just laughing and constantly "Oh my God". I never would've ever expected to see Mario pulling off those crazy moves..

Just saw the trailer. First let me say that the pics made a little less excited about the game but that trailer fixed it all up. Sure its a little wierd and out of place you cant say it isnt cool, and that song was great. I just wish they had more Nintendo characters...Donkey Kong! |

Morongs, fucking morongs. Please note how EA just fucking bought 20% of Ubisoft. Now let's pretend that Nintendo was a woman, and EA was a rapist. EA has just been cleared of any charges, because Nintendo was stupid, got drunk and started presenting its sweet stock to EA. |
