I've been a fan of Chalosan's art for a while, but today I was procrastinating and I started making little Kate doodles. One of them turned out to be this one... Course, it wasn't much of a "doodle". If you have a lot of bandwidth, I invite you to see it at working size....  At that size, it'll print well though! |

| Nope, not Photoshop. The entire thing was drawn and colored in Open Canvas, but with very minor touchup work in Photoshop at the end (the black on the eyelashes never does what I want it to in OC, so I always need to fix in Photoshop). It took me about five hours.  and I think I did myself an injury. |

| I commented about it in PMs and on DA, but to reiterate the basic point, it rawks. ^-^ And I'm gonna use it for my layout once I get a moment to sort it out. I must point out that this level of CGing is practically GODLIKE in my eyes. Either OC is the greatest artistic tool in the world or you are simply brilliant, and I believe it's the latter. ^-^ |

| To be fair, it was actually offered to Fyxe for a layout first, via PM. I know that Fyxe is a big fan of Kate. Vyper -- the best answer I can give for "how do you do it" is to get you to look at the working size image  As for Open Canvas, it's pretty damn cool, but I can do this in Painter, and to a lesser extent, Photoshop |

| Yeah, I can draw anime styled characters, in fact it's pretty much... what I do. Least as far as artwork goes. As for the Gimp.... well, I've never been able to get my tablet to work correctly in the Gimp, which has been a barrier to me using it. But it's not just the program.... I'm able to produce similar results in Photoshop, Painter and Sketchbook Pro too.... I can't in the Gimp till the pressure and tilt sensitivity behave though. As for getting paid... I get paid to do IT tech support. I doubt anybody's going to pay me to do this, realistically. |
