As you know, in acmlm there are people from all around the world. In each country there are different ways to celebrate new year's eve and new year, so how is it celebrated in your country/in your family?

In Spain, we have a big dinner late as usual, and at 12 o'clock, we watch the strokes on TV. Most TV channels do it at La puerta del Sol (Sun door) in Madrid, and in the public TV every year the same person: Ram

Here in America we all get drunk and watch the ball drop in Times Square. Or some shitty MTV thing, I dunno. It's mostly the getting drunk part that everyone's concerned about.

It's not the new year in the right time zone yet. This thread doesn't count.

In GMT it's 8:12, there are still 4 hours left to the new year.
But it's New years eve, and you might have celebrated some new years in your life, haven't you? Oh I see. Sorry about the title, we in Spain say happy new year on New year's eve too.

We in Germany get drunk and hit others with fireworks
Some of them goes to the disco, we stay home and watch TV listen to very loud music and at 12o'clock we go out for the fireworks.
And of course we eat and drink wine.

I see. Well, that's cool, I just didn't know, I guess. I won't really celebrate it, though... It's just another day for me.

There's a possibility of some party going on tonight, but I'm still waiting to hear back from my friend to find out if he's going or not. Whether that takes place or not, the rest of this day (and night) will consist of me doing pretty much what I usually do Do stuff on the computer or play something on Gamecube.

It'll most likely be just the same as any other day for me

Expect for playing Advance wars and eating chesee we aren't doing much else. It's 23:04 right now. So around one hour left...

And I don't expect alot of Fireworks, some people shoot up early. But I hadn't seen many, and I think it's related to the disaster...

Dicking around online and/or reading, like I do every night. Sometimes I think I should, you know, do something, but then I remember that it's just another night.

I'm gonna be watching comedy shows and movies and rocking out to Cheap Trick and Slade.

Among the movies on my marathon list are: Happy Gilmore, Spaceballs, Ghostbusters, Stripes, and The Jerk.

And I'm also gonna watch some episodes of Mr. Show and Upright Citizens Brigade. So yes, fun times ahead after spending time with the family and before going back to work.

My friends and I were going to go see a movie, and then I was going to play a marathon game of Halo.

Fill up on Pepsi, watch Inuyasha, and curse at Cogeco for their stupid service cutting me off every half-hour. Thanks to them neither Ranma 1/2 or Card Captors will be done downloading 2005.

Ideal situation: Go out and have fun with Chrys and her friends. Can't happen because she already has plans for a girl's night tonight.

Less than ideal but still good situation: Have the house to myself so that I can relax and actually watch Witch Hunter Robin on YTV tonight (since the INFINITE wisdom of the programming schedulers states that December 31 is a great time to run new back-to-back episodes of all the anime shows on the channel) and just have fun.

Actual situation: Stay at home in front of my TV all night, downloading the episodes of WHR I'll miss instead. (I have no intent of watching Van Helsing with my parents. Yech.)
