Ha, I trolled in the subject to get you to view the thread.

Anyway, this is probably my least favorite movie of all time. I was so incredibly disapointed with it. The movie could have been good if it were actual footage of something really happened.

But seeings how it's all fictional (ALL of it, not even remotely based on a true story), it sucked.

You see, I sat through the entire thing, which was pretty boring, expecting to see a great kick-ass ending. And if you've seen it, you know that it was not the case. That was the shittiest ending they could have possibly done. Good god.

And remember that one Family Guy episode where Brian said that everyone looked pissed? That's exactly how it was in the theater. The credits started rolling and everyone's like "...what the hell?".

So yeah, I hate this movie. Now does anyone here actually like it? Or know someone who does? Because I have yet to meet one person who does.

lmao, I read the thread title and thought you were serious

I've have a friend who likes/liked the movie, don't know if he still does, he thought it was the coolest movie ever, but he also thinks Evanescence is a good band.

Eh, the first time I saw the movie, I didn't think it was good, but I didn't think it was that bad. However on a later viewing of the movie, I couldn't stand to watch more than ten minutes of it.

Admittedly, the first time I watched it, I'd been drinking.

Most of the movie was pretty boring, but with the way they set it up, the ending was kinda cool. Overall though, it was a bit of a letdown.

I watched it when someone else rented it a long time ago. It's absolutely a piece of crap, but I have to have some respect for the fact that it was shot on a budget of like $5000 and made 10000x that much. Talk about a profit margin.

I actually watched it in theaters..well a drive in. I didnt pick the movie..I think I dont really remember. It sucked..The first one sucked most. It was horrible and boring. All they did was run around screaming at nothingness. The 2nd one was better than that..but eh.

Umm.... *Looks around really nervously*

Please don't kill me.

I loved it.

I think what you had to do was suspend belief, as well as the fact that I have a pretty messed up imagination. Horrors that go out of their way to be gory bore me to death, unless they're inventive about it (FInal Destination), or are funny (Shaun of the Dead).

NE ways, whilst I was watching it I paid attention to everything that went on, what the townsfolk said, things like that, and I was completely sucked in by the atmosphere. What was going on in my head was scaring me more than anything they could ever show on screen. The ending disterbed me but enthralled me at the same time, as I knew the significance of it. That said everyone else in the theatre had the "WTF!" look on their face described by Legion. I was more than satisfied, I even got it on Region 1 VHS (and now own it on DVD)

The thing is, it no longer scares me in the way that it did, because I know what's coming.

It's worth noting that when I bought the region 1 VHS (this was a month after it had come out in theatres over here) I was at Uni and we all watched it together, after the "Curse of the Blair Witch" documentary which came with it. One of my dorm mates was so disterbed he was physically ill, and promised to never watch it again.

If you loathed the first film then you'd probably like the second which is pretty much a Hi-fi remake, together with the Marylin Manson soundtrack, obligatory goth girl and a lot of the same sort of shenanigans. It's a similar concept but more palatable for a mainstream audience.
