Come now DarkSlaya... Even if they were, they probably weren't killed or gravely injured, judging by that number,,,

8.9, it didn't hit Japan (maybe a few waves but nothing catastrophic or anything) and it apparently disturbed the earth's rotation today.

That's always a good sign.

I seriously doubt anything touched Japan. It was out off the west coast of Thailand, that would place quite a few things in the way (including China) Alls I know is, My sister and her husband are safe in Korea.

We can only hope.

That's monstrous. It's sad seeing as though it happened at this time of the year.

Well, whoever died and who lived. It has to suck for about 10,000 families at least. Not to force religion on anyone, but I would be praying or thinking or meditating about the families. They need it.

What's the biggest recorded earthquake ever? I'm too lazy to check.

Damn... I'd think there would have been more for an earthquake of the magnitude. 8.9, wow, most I've felt is like a 0.01...

Dracoon, I don't think they measure them that low.

The most I've felt is 5-ish, I believe.

I was kidding... I know that they don't measure them that low. I have felt one, but it was only enough to make me go "WTF?".
