You'll have more luck getting anime from Torrents.

Bit torrent is definately the way to go with anime. An alternative would be IRC, which you could use to download eps of a particular anime using bots and whatnot. You have to know how to use IRC as well as have to connect to the server and room which the subbing group is located.

A big problem with BT is how it can slow down your internet. I prefer eMule for stuff I can't use bittorrent for.

BT only slows down the net because it uses as much bandwidth as it can for uploading. You could tweak it, but that'll likely affect your download speed as well.

I usually end a torrent as soon as I download, then either seed it while I watch or seed it when I'm away from the PC until the ratio's above 1. Simple, no fuss or anything.
