| There will not be a SP5 anymore. Read the Article Apparently.. Microsoft isn't going to release a SP5. Instead, there will be a Security Rollup Package (1). This sounds like a service pack. Although I guess SPs also have new features, so this is just security patches. Bummer. |

Heh, they still make major updates for Windows 2000?  I have one computer with Windows 2000, heck i'm writing this post with it right now.  Windows 2000 with SP4 have some of the XP's functionality (hell, some of the XP icons is used in Windows 2000 if youre updated it. Such in Windows update where the Windows XP flag is used... o.o). | Dude, Win2K basically *is* XP, without all the worthless bloat. You almost never see products that work only in XP, it's always "2000/XP". And this news does indeed blow. As long as they keep releasing stuff through Windows Update, though, I guess it's not that bad... |
