I'm looking for one, if one exists. I'm trying to beat Final Fantasy VII, (halfway through disc 2) but my PSX got messed up when our power went out temporarily.
I am also looking for a game save editor, so I can get to where I was in the real game (FFVII)

It seems that every Playstation I get messes up. I''ve had 3 so far.

Do you have any recommendations for what sound/vid plug-ins to use? I have tried a variety of different combinations and I still can''t get good sound out of it, mainly for Final Fantasy Tactics..

These are how my plugins are set up:

Video : Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.68, and a screenshot of the 'Configure' window, because I'm not going to all the trouble of typing the different details out

Sound : ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2, with the first two options enabled.

You may or may not need to adjust the settings in the Video Config window depending on how good your computer is

The only issue I've had with it is in Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Movies will play fine, but you can't hear any sound The sound works fine any other time though

I don't have Final Fantasy Tactics to be able to test that, but with luck those will help you in getting things working

Oh awesome, thanks for the specs. They work very well. I see some areas have some glitched sounds but beggers can't be choosers.

Or you could find a warez copy of CVGS and check that out. Graphic quality won't be as great but it runs real CD's no problem - hell, I played Castlevania: SotN on my Celeron 300 at 100% speed with it.

If you want to get to where you are, you may have to consider getting a DexDrive of some sort so you can transfer the save from PSX to PC format.

Otherwise you will have to play through the game all over again. Since even with editing to get to where you are now, you can't really get far in the game, cause there are always things that will mess up.

I had to start Breath of Fire 3 about 3 times. Once was on the PSX, then was told that I missed some dragon forms by a friend, so I started over, then my memory card was erased when my PSX died on me. Then I tried it on ePSXe, but then lost my data after my hard drive too a crash (and I was at the second to last area). I am not sure if I should play it again on the emulator or the PS2. I might just get a cheater and max my stats and get all the cool stuff. But since I almost beat the game without cheating, I guess I have a reason to do it WITH cheating.

Go here for a cheater program for the PSX emulator.

As for running Castlevania SotN, Colleen. That games is one of the easiest to emulate games around. You will only slow down on large maps.
