| I dont know if this is in the right place, but anyway, move it if not. Alright, I want to hack pokemon sapphire, but I dont know. I read this tutorial, it said load the rom, load the .tbl file and then you search for the text "Hi! My name is..." bla bla. Need help to change text and about changing sprites. Thanks | |||

| You can use the tools that come with EliteMap for sprite editing and such. I think it even support text editing. (Pretty sure it did.) But if you really want to go oldschool then get a hex editor that support table files, a table file is a file that has the hex values for each character used in the game. If you load the ROM and then load the table file you'll be able to edit all the in-game text, unless it's compressed that is. |

Yo bna_li! Remember me? If ya can't tell who am I, take one good look at the sprites at my sig. Anyway JaCory, got ya covered on the table file. For sprites, which the over world or battle? For the overworld sprites, use a gfx editor like TLP with the GBA support, and look for them. Adjusting the palette would make it easier. Well, hope it helps.  |

Erm, you're the one who wrote it? Oh, yeah, Interdpth... I saved the file in word pad... right? And you cant save as .tbl, so do you save it as .tbl.txt? Or all files? Anyway, I oped the rom, then open the .tbl. And I couldnt "find using table".... And Akane-Chan... I dont know who you are... because I cant see your sig... boo ... | Ok here is what you do. When your saving it the type is All files then just type in Table.tbl as the file name or just right click the file and go Rename then remove the .txt part and your done. Hope that helped. ;o | |||
