Ugh, lately I've thought about drugs to get my mind off things...well I did have a Pure Indian Cigar(not really a drug, wait, are cigarettes considered drugs?) in my pocket, I was so close, but my Ex took it and snapped it in half.  guess she saved me like 5 more minutes in life. |

| I smoke weed with my friends often. And my niece who is a freshman at my high school this year knows a friend that gives her some for free that she shares with me. I've also done LSD a few times, and have taken caffiene pills to make me stay awake in school. I don't really know if the caffiene pills are that bad, I mean they put that stuff in sodas and coffee dude, and one Nodoz pill is just two cups of coffee worth of caffiene. I also drink often. I hate beer, wine is allright depending on what kind, and I LOVE Jim Beam whiskey. | I'm a pot head. Nuff said? There are things far worse than pot that are legal. Alcohol and tobacco are much more detremental, and far more addictive. Pot doesn't make people ruin their lives; its coke, acid, and shit like that which does the trick. I don't do that stuff. I am a straight A student, and if I may be a cocky bastard, I would say I am quite smart. And yet I do pot. When I tell people that and they don't know, usually they are shocked beyond belief. I've done acid (LSD) once. Pretty weird shit, and I didn't like it. Never smoked a cig, but I have drinken like, 3 glasses of beer during my lifetime. That covers my drug history. There is evidence of both positive and negative things about Marijuana use, so don't get me wrong. It is bad for you, just not nearly in the sense of anything you've probably been told. I am not encouraging anyone to smoke the plant, but I am letting you know that it's not nearly as harmful as what most of the things you've heard/read say. | Intresting page, althought I take that site with a big grain of salt. I could say that I probably lost my only addiction for the moment, I hadn't drinked so much coke lately.  Alcohol is the heavyist drug I drinked, and I seem to tolerate it quite. All effect I got after two bottles was getting more active. But I still had common sense.  |

| yeah, but I have trouble believing anything I hear/read anymore.... especially if it is on the internet... the leaders of countries lie to us.... researchers come up with findings all the time that disprove what people used to think about something.... | I don't, and you'd be lucky to find me drinking enough alcohol to even get me tipsy. It's just I don't really want to. Doesn't mean I'll take someone down for what they do with their life, it's their life period...only reason I'd come down on someone is if they're an ass or if I REALLY need to intervene on something for some reason (which doesn't happen often, but sometimes I might have to in the whole friend thing)...couldn't care less about how much you've done in your life. That's not to say that I won't be so liberal if I ever have kids, or what my family does and whatnot, because that's a bit of a different story. I'd rather not have it related to me and my family but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll ostricize other people for their preferences. It's kind've that whole thing about trying to enforce good habits that will eventually be broken (like swearing and whatnot)...or that Santa really exists (watch the cracks about this fly). | Drugs. Hm. Well, I now smoke so much that I can't really say that I'm "just a social smoker" anymore, though I like to think that I can quit at any time, should I have to. As for alcohol, I'll have a beer whenever I have the occation and money to have one, simply because it tastes good and it's relaxing. As for getting drunk, though, it happens occationally, during some periods more than once a week, during other periods there can go months. Then, as for illegal drugs. I've never tried it. I would have liked to try marijuana, but I've never had the opportunity to. Also, considering that I have a personality that makes me easily addicted to things, I don't know how wise it would be for me to try marijuana, but I guess I'll cross that bridge if I ever get to it. |

| To get it? Well, it wouldn't be too hard. I have "a friend who knows a guy", however, my friend is currently not where I am (since I moved because of studies). I have talked to some people where I live now, and I'm fairly sure they could get a hold of some if they really wanted it. As far as price goes, it's probably going to be expensive. Then again, everything is expensive in this country, because of our high taxes (not that taxes effect the prices of illegal substances, of course ). As for strictness, according to the website ung.no (a government-operated site with information targeted towards Norwegian youth between 14 and 20), Norway has one of the strictest drug-laws in Europe. Basically, the definition of the word "drugs" is at all times decided by the government, and a list, "the narcotics list" exists, showing what substances are considered illegal drugs. As for penalties, posession and usage of drugs can give up to a maximum of 6 months in prison. Production, smuggling, storing and distribution will normally give up to 2 years in prison. However, the big offenders can be given a penalty of a maximum of 10 years in prison. And in extreme circumstances, one can be charged with a life sentence, which in Norway is 21 years in prison (you cannot be charged with more than 21 years in Norway). Laundering of drug money is considered as bad as producing and distributing drugs, and can in extreme circumstances give 21 years. All that being said, the youth party (Unge Venstre) of one of the parties currently in the government coallition (Venstre), a social-liberalist party, wants to, afaik, legalize the use of marijuana. So the situation in this country may very well change some day. |
