C Trigger in my opinion, i miss the times playing it, although C Cross is almost as great as CT

but CT is teh best, the boss battle theme reminds of the begining of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's song 'Tarkus'

Nethack.

...What? It's been updated since the dawn of time...

Seriously, I'd have to say FFVI... There's a ton of excellent ones but when I got it (for $99 Canadian... ), it was simply amazing.

Psuedo-RPG's? I thought they would be categorized as PC RPG's... Slower-paced with more thought required. Lots of PC RPG's seem to have adventure elements anyways.

Sorry, but I believe Morrowind was primarily developed by Bethseda.

Colleen, Morrowind would be a "PC RPG" for the Xbox, which doesn't quite make sense

I prefer to call them "Open-ended RPGs".

What's wrong with SO2? It's one of my favorite RPGs too.

My other favorites are the usual FF6, 7, and Xenogears, and Wild Arms.
