| In a flash of light, Siryx teleported in the room! Siryx: "HEY! I'm he... huh?" Siryx looked around, especting to see Grandfalloon... but he wasn't there. Siryx: "Well... Looks like I'm late for the party! When I began to forget, I tought that it was NeoBowser who was erasing my memories... but then, I remembered that NeoBowser himself never erased memories. So... I figured out it was the oldest of the Legion brothers, Granfalloon, who was behind my memory loss. As such, I tought that none of us stood a chance against him... and I escaped, to get this..." Siryx showed everyone a little crystal... Siryx: "This was the memories that the original Siryx had when he met with Ex Lightheart... and it was the very memory that destroyed the real Grandfalloon. I tought I could use it to destroy the memory image of Grandfalloon... but looks like you were OK even without the memory to help you." Siryx turned to Star. Siryx: "You were the one who destroyed Grandfalloon, right? I can sense it... there is something in you that tells me you're the one. You saved me a lot of work... and since I'm obviously late, you probably saved all of our lives. Anyway... Serra?" Siryx smiled and approached Serra. He put his right hand on her shoulder... Siryx: "I have something for you... a gift I'm sure you will like..." Siryx used his powers to teleport his Dark Weapon, Soul Eraser, in his hands. Then, he gave it to Serra. Siryx: "This... is my Essence. However... I must warn you, while you can use it to break the seal on the Castle of Origin and undo the shield system on Chaos's Essence..." Siryx stopped smiling. Siryx: "You can't absorb this Essence... Serra, did you noticed that each time you absorbed one's Essence, he disappeared? It is becease that we are illusions. Until the Chaos Heaven has replaced your reality, we are completely dependant on our Essences. If they are absorbed or broken... then we fade away in the void. As such... until you have found a way to make me real, I want you to keep the Essence with you... but not to absorb it. Keep it with you and protect it..." Ex's voice echoed. Ex: "Would you look at that? It looks like my dear old enemy has switched sides... again. I just hope for you, Serra, that you'll be able to keep him on your side... Keeping him on your side is easy... in theory. Just don't lose faith in the fact that he'll choose you over his master. However... in pratice... you must remember that Siryx is still linked to the powers of Evil. To free him completely... you must destroy the "Links". The Links could be anything... an object, a piece of the landscape... even life-forms! There are 5 Links... and Grandfalloon was one of the Links and as such, Siryx has now regained a bit of his free will. To destroy the Chaos Heaven, only the 8 Essences and Dark Weapon are required... but to bring Siryx back in your world, you must find and destroy the 5 Links. You will also have to make sure that NeoBowser dies BEFORE the Chaos Heaven is destroyed or else, he may try to bring Siryx down with him. Anyway... for some reason, something is sapping my power again and as such... I cannot keep this transmission going much longer." Ex's voice faded, as if something was keeping her from speaking to the party. Siryx seemed a bit surprised... Siryx: "Huh? Serra? Who... was that? What was that voice? | "I took the one needed to kill, not break. Mine isn't an essence, or at least Seraph believes so. Now, I'm going after the essences, you can find these "Links" if you want, but I'm not risking my life for a memory." With that Star turned and left, he opened the door and walked out, he disappeared quickly from view. Star kept moving, but he also began to talk to Seraph. "Can you sense the way we need to go?" Destin stepped forward, but Serra held her arm out. "Let him go, he has his reasons, it also makes our job a little easier. We can go find the "Links" and meet back up with him later." Serra and Destin walked out of the door and Serra began to try and search to find these "Links". |

| Suddenly, the party (Star included) found itself in the hall of a castle. The castle was totally white... unnaturally white. It was as if the castle was emitting light... The only things that weren't white were the statues of disformed angels everywhere in the hall and the painting on the floor. The painting represented a horrific turtle-shaped demon surrounded by 8 figures. The first was a wizard, the second one was a humanoid crocodile, The third one was a human, the fourth was a bio-mechanical dragon, the fifth one was a younger version of the turtle demon, the sixth one was an angel crying blood tears, the seventh was a alien brain, and the last was a humanoid cat. In the middle of this circle of 8 beings, just above the turtle demon, a symbol... Siryx: "The black circle with a red, unequal cross... yes, it is definitely the UEN's symbol... which means that..." ???: "Yes... indeed. This is the Castle of Origins." A vortex appeared over the painting and a figure came out of it. Instantly, the castle's floor, walls, and ceiling turned black. The figure revealed itself to be... Star?!? Star?: "So... you have came. I was a bit worried that you would make it here at first..." Siryx: "N... NeoBowser!" NeoBowser: "I see that even tough you are a mere illusion, you didn't lost your sensing abilities... Yes indeed, I am NeoBowser, the ruler of Chaos Heaven... and the future ruler of YOUR world!" NeoBowser pointed at Serra. His red eyes were filled with so much hatred... his smile was so... cold, cruel-looking... He truly seemed to be totally evil. NeoBowser: "So... you are Ex Lightheart reborn, right? News of your victory over Grandfalloon travelled quickly. You may think that you're on your way to victory... but Grandfalloon is small time. He grew soft in his old age... I knew he would fail me." NeoBowser's smile widenned as he approached Siryx. Siryx: "D... don't get any closer or..." NeoBowser: "Or what? You know you cannot defeat me. Nobody can. I am eternal and almighty. There is nothing you can do... and anyway, you shouldn't fear me for you are my servant... unless..." NeoBowser laughed. It was as if thousands of ice daggers pierced the hearts of all those who heard his laugh... it was how scary and cold it sounded. NeoBowser: "... unless you betrayed me again... didn't you?" Siryx: "I... I..." NeoBowser: "And I was foolish enough to trust you! Ha! I should have know better..." Siryx: "B... but..." Siryx made a few steps backward. He seemed completely terrified... NeoBowser: "I brought you back from the dead and gave you back your powers... and you spit on me, like that, for the heart of a single girl? What a wimp... but you're still not as much a wimp as Grandfalloon was." NeoBowser turned to Serra. Altought it was truly Star and not NeoBowser who was staring at her, the evil within NeoBowser's soul was so strong that it seemed as if it truly was NeoBowser who was in front of her. NeoBowser: "So... you are Serra, right? The one who thinks that she's Ex Lightheart reborn, isn't it? You amuse me... you think you're such a big deal... while you're nothing more than an insect. Doom and Grandfalloon were both once mighty but have grown soft in their old ages. I had a feeling that they would fail me..." NeoBowser turned to Siryx and smiled again... NeoBowser: "... just like this loser did. He failed me miserably... but at least, Doom and Grandfalloon did not spit on their master's face in the end!" Siryx: "I..." NeoBowser walked away from the party. NeoBowser: "It will take a little while for the Chaos Heaven to replace your reality... so, until it is complete, let us play a little game." 9 doors appeared in the hall. NeoBowser: "I have all of the remaining 5 Essences as well as Dark Weapon's soul. All of these prizes can be yours if you can go deep within the imaginary worlds I created and defeat each of the Guardians. Also... as a little bonus, you will get a shot at each of Siryx's 4 Links after you gained an Essence. Does it sounds fair?" NeoBowser waited a few seconds... then laughed again! NeoBowser: "Whatever if it sounds fair or not! You have no decision here. All you have to do is entertain me until I've decided what will be your... futures." NeoBowser turned around... NeoBowser: "Now... if you excuse me, I must prepare your world's demise... and yours, as well." NeoBowser teleported away. Siryx fell to the ground, panting. Four spheres were spinning around him... Siryx *whispering*: "S... s... stop... it... I don't... want to..." |

| Star landed right when NeoBowser had teleported away, Seraph stuck into the ground. Star pulled the sword out and looked around at the doors. "Damn! I have to get to him!" Destin and Serra looked at Star in suprise, still not completely sure of who he was, and Destin almost thought it was NeoBowser. He approached, but he could feel living energy in Star that was human. "We have to split up. I can go one way, even without a weapon, I should be able to fight with a shie--" Before Destin could finish Star took his old sword from his waist and tossed it to Destin. "Umm... nevermind. I guess I'll use this." "Don't lose it, I'll need that after I'm done with this place. You can channel certain energy from it, it is different with each person though. Mine just happened to be lightning." Star looked at the nine doors and reached out his senses. "Seraph, if you know the way to the Dark Weapon's soul, tell me." "Ok Serra, I'll take the door on the far right." Destin walked over to the door, hesitaed, opened it and walked in. "Ok Destin, be careful." "Siryx, come with me, I'll make sure you are set free." Serra walked over to the door right next to the one Destin had entered and waited for Siryx. "Bel, choose any door you want, but remember, don't get careless." |

| Seraph: "Hmmm... NeoBowser has sealed the door with the Life Force of Siryx's 4 Links AND the spirits of the 5 remaining Guardians. I fear that we will have to defeat them all before we can open this door." ... Siryx: "S... Serra..." Siryx fell to his knees... he was not sure he wanted to follow the party anymore... but as soon as this tought came into his head, he felt guilty... They were the only ones since Ex Lightheart not to judge him, not to dismiss him as just one more arrogant half-blooded "Ex" being... He figured out the tought was not his... but a tought he was given by the Links. Siryx *thinks* G... get ahold of yourself... the Links are playing tricks on you... Thei aren't real... but you'll soon be... you can overcome this illusion and assume your reality... a reality I've chosen, not one that a "master" has forced me into... Siryx stood up and closed his eyes. Then, he erased all conscious toughts in his mind... and then, after a few seconds, he opened his eyes again and followed Serra. Looks like he had overcame the power of the Links... for now. As soon as they crossed the door, Serra, Destin, and Siryx appeared in a completely dark room... 5 Mirrors were visible and in each mirror was the reflection of a world... Siryx: "I seen this before... Yes! Most definitely! So... this is how the Chaos Heaven works!" Siryx grabbed Serra's hand. Siryx: "Don't let go... for I remembered that it is impossible to travel alone in here. Destin, grab either my remaining hand or Serra's... and then, I'll explain..." | OOC Destin went into a different room than them. He took all the way to the left and Serra took the one right next to the one he entered. "Ok, but I don't think you'll have to worry about Destin, he took the other door." Serra looked at Siryx, wondering if he was going to be ok, she didn't want to drag him to far into this. It could eventually hurt him. "Ok... point me to one of the essences. I think I better start with those." Star looked at all the doors again, seeing Bel just standing there. "You better hurry into a door, you don't want to be left behind do you?" |

| Off: Oops! Well... it isn't important. All the doors (exept the last) lead to the same room... ____________________________________________________________________ Siryx: "He maybe took another door... but all the doors lead here... to the Master Room. You see... while the other parts of the Chaos Heaven seemed real... only the Castle of Origins is real. All the other parts are merely reflections of the world the Chaos Heaven is parasiting. Look, Serra." Siryx pointed at the mirrors. The first mirror led to Serra's hometown... exept it was a vile, corrupted replica, infested by the corruptive powers of the UEN. In the center of the mirror was the location's Guardian, an evil and corrupted copy of Serra. The second mirror led to a mountain palace... the palace of the being named "Origin" in Serra's homeworld... and of course, it was twisted and corrupted. The palace's guardian was a tortured, enslaved Origin whose will had been broken by NeoBowser. The third mirror led to a strange city... a city where songs and dances had terrible power... This city's guardian was a nightmarish chimera with hundreds of heads. The fourth mirror led to a peaceful forest... where the very trees are alive and feed on flesh. The tortured, reanimated, undead figure of Death was the Guardian there. The last mirror led to an underground palace/graveyard... the Guardian there was the horrific Holy Legion, the youngest of the Legion brothers. Siryx: "You see those mirrors? Those are the worlds that have already been replaced in your own reality... and it looks like NeoBowser has challenged us to see if we can free each of these worlds. If we can get the Essences there, NeoBowser's control over the locations will be broken and they will be returned to your reality. Howe... ugh..." Siryx fell to his knees. Something was ripping him apart from inside. After a few seconds, he was able to gain control of himself and, fighting his now growing pain, he stood up. Siryx: "Serra... in... each world... exept one... there is a Link... if we free... the world... before destroying... the Link... then I... will never... be freed... from NeoBowser's... control!" Siryx fell down. He coughed blood for a few seconds and then, he suddenly stopped. Siryx: "Ugh... yuck..." Siryx stood up. Siryx: "... I... Serra... I know you are worried about me... but I want you to know... that you are not alone... and neither am I. The Links are sapping my Life Force, trying to force me back to the side of Evil by inflicting physical pain on me. Do not worry, Serra, however... As bad as they may seem, they cannot kill me. I am too precious for them to kill me... even tough the fact that I know that I'm precious to them doesn't confort me... far from it. Still..." Siryx smiled. Altought he seemed in great pain, he seemed to be confident that everything would turn alright... Siryx: "I believe in you, Serra. I believe that with your help, I can overcome NeoBowser's Links. I WILL survive this and we will live together in your world... OK?" |

| Star walked through the door, ending up with all the mirriors in front of him. He looked to the mountain one and walked over to it. He braced himself and walked into it. He could feel Origin's pressence around, but he could also feel that something was wrong with it. "Star... what you are feeling is a copy of me... Niether light nor darkness can possess me, but a copy is easy to create... Watch what you do... he may not be the real me... but he isn't far off..." Star heard Origin in his mind. Star immediatly knew that Origin was still in his tower, watching the entire thing. Origin was the closest thing to an earthbound god, his power was very strong, but he was just a balance in a world. He couldn't favor either side if it came down to a choice. "So, where are you! I'll fight you now and destroy you for even thinking about trying to copy Origin." Star waited a second and didn't get a responce. "What? Are you to cowardly to fight me?" Destin also entered the main room, somewhat amused with what was going on. He saw the mirrior and took one that looked somewhat familier. He walked to the forest mirrior, not sure what to expect. He hesitated for a second and jumped in. "Ok Siryx, we should go after my copy first. I don't want to let it slip by my figers." Serra approached the mirrior and waited for Siryx, when he came, she stepped into it. Mean while in the world of balance. "You are both lucky, had I not come when I did, you might have been consumed." A strange reploid had both Luke and Maya in his arms and was almost a mile back from the vortex. "I couldn't stop it from getting a part of you, but whatever it is, it shouldn't be to strong. I suggest you get out of here while you can, anything that comes through, I can deal with." Maya nodded, wide eyed, she had never seen something like this before. When Dracoon let them down, she waited for the oddly calm Luke to start walking away. They had almost fallen into the vortex when it expanded and they both knew it had gotten something from them. Nothing could quite replace what they were, but it wasn't a good idea to go back. The world had been getting replaced and so they thought that was what was happening to them. Had they stayed longer, they might not have been alive. "Well, this isn't very good. I'm glad I'm just technology, or I could be in for a ride. "Damn, I got careless. If I hadn't let some of the darkness onto my tower, I might have been able to stop it from getting a copy of me. If the world changes much more, I'll have to go into action myself." Origin was at the top of his tower, his spear ready and a very powerful aura around himself, his tower, and a good portion of the world beneath it. He couldn't allow for the whole world to be replaced, so all he could do was hope that Star, Serra, Destin, and Bel would hurry up. |

| The fake Origin smiled as he observed Star's progression... Origin: "Too bad my soul is just a mirrored version of Origin's... I would have liked to serve my master more quickly... but my soul is too similar to the original right now. I'll just have to wait for the next wave of corruption to come and then, maybe I'll be able to get rid of that stupid neutral aura and serve NeoBowser... *sigh!* Well... until it is done, I can still watch as Star tries to ascend my tower. After all... how can this mortal named "Star" reach me if the stairs leading to my room are affected by a "forever" curse and thus loop endlessly?" The fake Origin watched... and waited. He waited for his soul to be affected by NeoBowser's aura... he waited for his master to turn him into a true evil version of Origin for right now, he was simply an inverted version of Origin... ... During this time... ... Destin appeared in the middle of a forest. Instantly, he began to hear a song... it was so beautiful... instantly it made him feel calm... so calm... calm enough to make him sleep... sleep for a very, very long time... ... During this time... ... Siryx followed Serra into the portal. The two appeared in Serra's hometown... but something was wrong. Everything was so... quiet. Nobody was speaking... the animals weren't making any sounds... Maybe it was becease that nobody had faces? All the beings had heads... but their faces were empty. No eyes, no noses, no mouths, no ears... just an empty circle of flesh. Siryx turned to Serra and smiled. The smile seemed... rather fake. Siryx was trying to look relaxed but was failing in a spectacular way. Siryx: "I have the feeling that your hometown wasn't always this creepy, isn't it? Maybe it's becease these guys' jaws dropped in a way too extreme way upon seeing two "Ex" beings! Hee... hee... hee..." Siryx's laugh was very nervous. He was trying to mask the fact that he was very uneasy. He had seen that type of corruption before... and it was bad news... for he knew what kind of being was able to inflict such terrible corruption. ... During this time... ... For a second, it seemed as if Origin's tower (the real one) was twisted just a little bit, for a mere second... and it seemed as if Star had teleported in... but in truth, neither had happened. Still, in Origin's crystal ball, a vision appeared for a second. NeoBowser, in his real body, laughing at Origin, taunting him, proclaiming his imminent victory... but it was only a vision, an illusion, a mere nightmare that escaped from the Vortex. Nothing had truly happened. |

| As Destin layed on the ground, he fell into a deep sleep, but as soon as he did. Something was disturbing him, someone was trying to reach him, but he couldn't hear them clearly. "Destin... up... lay... forever... fight..." Destin started to wake up, he opened his eyes and tried to stand. It took a lot more effort than he expected, but he could hear the voice clearly now. "Destin, wake up, you can't lay there forever. You must wake up and fight!" Destin looked around, fully awake. The voice seemed so familier, but he couldn't place it. "Hero?" "Yes Destin, now hurry up and go!" Destin looked around, noticing Bel, he walked over and tried ot shake Bel awake. "My town used to be full of ninjas and samurias, and all of these people seem to be a little weak for this to be it. I wonder what they could be trying to do..." Serra walked forward a bit, knowing that stopping would just make Siryx uncomfortable. So she kept walking, trying to find her twisted version. "A copy of Origin's tower... How idiotic. He doesn't think that will keep me out, does he?" Star walked towards the door, but he remembered a few things from the real Origin's tower. The tower was full of traps, mazes, and very powerful monsters. Sometimes even a long dead warrior would challenge you. "Well, hopefully this isn't like the real Origin's tower..." Star walked through the doors, expecting to see a very calm base level. He knew the tower like the back of his hand, but it could still be different in this world. "So that is what they have to fight. He wouldn't be so bad, if he fought me directly instead of trying to possess this world." Origin gave his own laugh, he could feel NeoBowser wasn't as powerful as he'd feared, and indeed beatable. Just had to be smart enough. |

| Quickly enough, it seemed as if the sleep song was getting louder and louder... it was as if something... or someone, was trying to eliminate them using the powers of this song... The song was coming from the north... ... During this time... ... Siryx looked around... Siryx: "Yeah... those guys seem to be a bit weak to be ninjas..." Siryx jumped backward, surprised! Siryx: "...but those guys are definitely strong enough!" A dozen of faceless ninjas were marching toward Serra, muttering the same sentance over and over as they advanced, like zombies... Ninjas: "Join us... Serra... Join us... Serra... Join us... Serra..." Siryx: "OK... that's definitely not good looking." Siryx took his Blaster handgun and prepared to fight... ... During this time... ... The tower seemed to be identical to the real tower... exept that everything was opposite of where it should be and as such, Star was walking on the ceiling, not the floor. Looks like he cannot reach the staircase from this room... A big switch was on the wall. A message was next to it: "Danger. This switch will invert the room's current settings, turning the floor into the ceiling or the ceiling into the floor and so forth. Do not activate." |

| "Bel, we have to get out of here, we don't have time to waste." Sluggishly, Destin walked north as fast as he could. He couldn't let himself be taken by the spell, he had to finish this quickly. "Don't worry about it... if they are just copies of my friends, they won't be that strong." Serra took out Vortex and held it forward. Strong winds began to pick up and soon it was like a mini hurricane trying to blow the ninjas away. "Just don't let them attack me from behind and this should be easy." "Well... that is a great discription." Star hit the button and flipped at the same time, having his feet pointing to the floor that was acting like a cieling and fell towards it. He had to reach the top of the tower the fastest way he could, but had to make sure he didn't fall into a trap. |

| The trees of the forest somehow moved, trying to get in Destin's way... but the trees crumbled into dust. Looks like the song somehow destroyed the entire forest... and soon enough, the forest crumbled into dust revealing a desert completely devoid of life. The forest was covered with the remains of beings, both conscious and non-conscious. Looks like this wasn't a sleep song... this was a death song! ... During this time... ... As soon as Serra finished speaking, one of the ninjas somehow teleported behind her and yelled: Ninja: "Ninjustsuken!" The faceless ninja's sword caught on fire and then, he tried to strike Serra's neck from behind! However, Siryx stabbed the faceless ninja right in the heart as he was about to strike! Siryx: "Nobody touches her!" The faceless ninja collapsed, fatally wounded and quickly dissolved... Siryx: "Looks like you're right. They aren't that str..." Suddenly, the ninja reformed himself in front of Serra. Siryx: "OK... I was wrong. We were not in trouble... NOW we are in trouble!" The ninjas began to circle around Serra and Siryx at incredible speeds while using ninja techniques to make fog and illusion duplicates of themselves appear! ... During this time... ... The ceiling opened itself and then, the entire world was flipped upside down! Star was sent plummeting toward the sky! Unless he can grab on something or somehow use his powers to activate the switch again, he'll fall into the sky and (probably) die. (edited by Zerodius on 02-02-05 12:25 AM) |

| "Well... one way to end a song... is to plug your ears!" Destin took off two scales of his armor and shoved them in his ears. He couldn't hear anything at all. He didn't know if the song would still work, but right now all he could do was look around. "Ok... this should work." Serra sheathed Vortex and brought out Lightless and Relentless. She held Lightless up and absolutely everything went dark, all normal senses were devoid of any awareness. Except Serra and Siryx could see in a greyish color, and the rest of their senses were fine. Serra walked calmy towards the nearest ninja and slashed down with Relentless. Relentless flashed and tried to take the ninja's soul with the slash. "Damn!" Star shocked the floor with lightning and his armor at the same time. He stopped falling and started to go back to the floor. As he got closer he shocked his boots and began to walk upside down towards the switch. He hit the switch, ready for the lurch back to normal. "I'm glad lightning can magnatize things... That was to close." |
