| As Serra and Destin enters the church, the sky, the platform, the church melt and both of them as well as Bel finally enter (may they like it or not) the chaotic realm that lies beyond the walls of perception, beyond reality. At first, there was only darkness but suddenly, out of a sudden, millions of people screamed as if they were terrorised and suffering at the same time. The voices were just kept on screaming and screaming and screaming... louder and louder and louder... then, suddenly, the sound of glass breaking and the voices stopped as suddenly as they had began screaming. The party was suddenly in the middle of a nice, peaceful park... but something was obviously wrong with this park... The river was made of a red, sticky liquid unstead of water... probably blood... Many children were playing there, having fun. Their voices were distorted and where their faces should be, there was only emptiness. It wasn't as if their faces had been burnt or anything. There wasn't just flesh also. The faces were just... not there. There was nothing where the faces should be. Not a wound, not bare flesh, not anything that can be described... only emptiness. A small angel child was in front of the party. He was the only child with a face. His wings were so beautiful and white that it was creepy. He smiled at the party... ???: "Will you play with me, please?" The angel's voice was terrifying. Unstead of the voice of an angel child, it was the screams of thousands of tortured souls that had escaped from this angel's mouth! If one looked more carefully at the angel child... you could see that it's eyes were all white (in short, he's blind) and that his pure-white wings were not made of feathers... but of bones, human bones. The angel child was constantly crying almost invinsibly-small tears of blood... which contributed to make this already uber-creepy scene into an even weirder, scary scene. ???: "My name is Legion. I'm so lonely... please play with me, strangers!" A whipser came to the ears of the heroes... ??? #2: "Serra... Destin... Bel..." The voice of a woman... a distant woman who is running out of time... ??? #2: "Do not befriend the faceless people... do not speak to them... do not look at them... run away... run far away... as fast as possible... just run..." The voice tried to continue on but it was interrupted by something or someone. Legion: "So... will you play with me? Will you be my friends?" The faceless children stopped playing. They gathered around Legion and stared at the party... Legion smiled and approached Destin. Legion: "My name is Legion. What is your name?" (edited by Zerodius on 01-02-05 12:12 AM) |

| *In private a private confersation between Destin, Serra, and Hero's minds...* "Destin what is going on!!!" Serra thought with a paniced voice and Destin replied in an equally paniced voice. "I don't know! How can we get out of here!!! Where are we!!!" Hero started to speak in a calm voice as if he was immune to the entire thing. "Let me take over, you are to young to be treated to this. Let an old man take your place." Serra and Destin's bodies disappeaered and in there place stood a warrior with twelve swords on his back. He looked around at the demon kids and turned his back. "I don't play with demons, unless you want to be killed go away." Hero touched a sword on his back and grasped it but didn't slide it out. He didn't want to use the sword unless it was needed, and hopefully, it wouldn't be needed. "Bel, I believe your name is, be careful, you don't want to make a wrong move. If worse comes to worse, try and get away, I can take care of them if I am alone..." |

| Legion smiled as he stared at Hero. Legion: "I knew you would accept to play with me! However... you are wrong on many levels. There are no demons and there are no kids here. I'm the only one here. You must be insane or something! Anyway, I guess I'll take off this disguise..." Suddenly, the faceless children' bodies disappeared as their faces appeared... Their faces were all twisted and distorted, as if they had been taken off and nailed to some kind of hard surface... In a flash of light, the surface on which the faces were became visible. Behind Hero (Hero is turning his back on Legion) was most probably THE biggest sphere made of lost souls ever. It was simply huge. Thousands upon thousands upon thousands of unfortunate mortals of all species, genders, and ages... all merged together to form this horrific sphere. No wonder Legion's voice as a child was so horrible! The souls are screaming non-stop and cover almost entirely his real voice. Legion: "Now that my disguise if out of the way... I'll actually assume a form fitting for playing with you!" It's voice was really, really weird... it was unlike anything the party had ever heard. It was a voice from beyond this world. The faces began to move and rearranged them in a way that they would form some kind of face... then, three pairs of gigantic angel wings came out of Legion's body. The wings were quite damaged but they were somehow strong enough to pull Legion's huge weight off the ground and keep him afloat. Once this was done, two gigantic arms made of bones came out of Legion's sides. The left arm was just an oversized skeleton hand... but the right one was in truth a ridiculously long spear with articulated blades strapped to it, giving it a shape similar to that of a hand. The monstruosity "stared" at Hero... Legion: "Now we can play! I'll begin by explaining the rules. However breaks the opponent's body wins! Simple, isn't it? Now, let the game begin!" The souls that formed Legion's body stopped screaming and the face disappeared. Legion floated there for a moment... and then... ZAP! Beams of red light came out of Legion! Out of the ground, thousands more tortured souls came out, seeking Legion's light... and they were obviously ready to hack into pieces all those who would stand between them and Legion's light! Legion: "I guess I cheated a bit by forgetting to tell you that there really aren't any rules for my game! Anything go, really! As such... I fear that those guys will now cut your bodies into pieces... but that isn't that important, isn't it? You do not need bodies if you are to become my friends, after all..." |

| "I figured you'd try to do this..." Hero turned to look at Legion, but no look passed over Hero's face, he just accepted it and looked around. He unsheated the sword he was touching, and a light blazed from it. "This sword was made with the blessing of the angles, they helped create this sword to shield the land from evil. I plan to use it like that, but in a different way." Hero held the sword up and the light covered a circle of the ground around him in a blue-ish light. As the first... creature, entered the circle the light intensified and started to free the creature's soul. Hero's other hand had started to grab another sword which he soon held infront of him, but this one only made an absence of light, turning part of the circle to a grey color. "And this is Relentless. A sword meant to cleave the souls of both the good and evil, erasing them from their current existance." The two swords began to flash wildly together as more creatures entered the circle of grey-ish light. It began to tear through the bodies to free the souls faster. "Now, do you want to know what would happen if I used the swords together? Maybe if I focused them on you?" Hero slammed both of the swords together infront of him, sending a shockwave in every direction around him, and keeping the circle in effect. (The shockwave doesn't effect Bel) The swords merged into a single sword and Hero held the sword towards Legion. "Now if you are a demon, prepare to be wiped out of existance, and if you are just a currupted soul, than this will set you free. Let's just hope I know what I am doing..." Hero held his sword out, and a thin ray of light shot out of it towards Legion. Thoughts began to race through Hero's mind, coming from Destin and Serra. "What if this doesn't work?" "Yeah Hero, how are we going to get out of this?" "This isn't my plan, I doubt this will work, but I don't want to destroy all of those souls if I can free them. Even if I can't win, Dark Wish should be able to get us out of here..." |

| Legion was struck by Hero's beam... but nothing happened. Suddenly, the souls that made Legion's body became enraged! The souls were so deeply embedded into Legion's body that unfortunately, they were beyond saving. Still, a few souls fell off Legion and escaped as quickly as possible, completely terrorised... As for Legion himself, he's fulminating! Legion: "WHAT?!? YOU WANT TO SEPARATE ME FROM MY FRIENDS!!! MEANIE!!!" Legion flew all the way above Hero... Legion: "Now... DISAPPEAR!" Legion was about to unleash his attack when Bel taunted Legion... but since Legion wasn't paying attention, he didn't hear all of Bel's taunt. He tought that Bel was asking him to play with him or something. Legion's rage ended and he turned toward Bel. Legion: "What? You want to play with me? I didn't heard you correctly! Could you repeat, mister? Pretty please?" |

| "Heh, I'm glad Bel isn't a brain dead fighter." Hero spoke softly as he brought Relentless into his right hand and into a striking position. Hero jumped into the air at Legion, who was turned around thanks to Bel, and dropped towards Legion's massive body, sword held straight down. "I'm sorry lost souls, but it is better to rest in an eternal sleep rather than suffer within this body." Hero slashed at Legion, and a wide shcok wave was short towards the abomination. The attack was meant to destory all of the souls, and hopefully Legion's core, without caring which ones got in the way. |

| Upon being struck, Legion screamed in pain and in a flash of light, a large opening was made into the shell of lost souls, revealing Legion's true form. Underneath the souls was a blood-red mass of flesh with a single, oversized blind eye. It had tons of tentacles, draining power from the souls and keeping them merged together. However, as soon as the opening was made, Legion lost it's grip on the souls and the sphere of souls collapsed, sending tortured souls everywhere. Legion was suddenly alone. It was kind of ridiculous looking since it's real body was so small and that yet, 3 gigantic pairs of wings and 2 huge bone arms were attached to it. Legion: "My... my... friends?" It took several seconds to Legion to understand what had happened... Legion: "You... you..." Legion's wings and arms as well as all of his tentacles fell off. Legion: "You are... you..." 8 new tentacles came out of Legion and his eye slowly turned red with rage. Looks like he's no longer blind! Legion: "You are going DOWN!" The tentacles opened as if there were hands at the hand of them and then... SWOOSH! Legion fired a GIGANTIC wave of energy toward Hero and Bel! The wave was travelling faster than a bullet and was more than strong enough to pulverise a concrete wall!... but Legion didn't stopped there! Legion: "You BAD GUYS! I'll make you regret this! You will loathe the day you ever defied Legion, the strongest angel in all of Chaos Heaven!" Legion fired 3 thunderbolts from it's other tentacles. These thunderbolts were even stronger and faster than the wave! Using it's remaining tentacles, Legion fired a wave of mysterious energy that would stop time for Hero and Bel, making them totally defenseless. |

| Time seemed to distort around Hero and Bel, and especially infront of them. A figure slowly appeared in the most distorted area. The figure jumped in the way of the attack, and they all looked like they hurt him, but when Legion's distortion came around, the figure absorbed it and disappeared. "So... he's still around." Hero sheated his two swords and brought out another one. At first it looked like the other two, but then it started to grow very bright. "Legion, how about you call it quits, I'm the only one who has done anything to you, and I don't have a scratch on me. Imagine if Bel and I work together?" Hero held the sword out, but did nothing with it. He wanted Legion to back down, not try and fight them. He would be crippled from now on anyways. |

| In a split second Bel reacted and moved extremely fast around the tentacles which were firing the timestopping wave. Bel. HYPER CUTTER! Bel's body suddenly split into 8 bodies and cut off Legion's tentacles. Bel: "I hope that was enough." |

| Off: Just like in Simbattles, you can NEVER assume that your attacks actually connect. As such, I shall completely ignore Trapster's post. Also... as long as the party does not find a way to stop Legion from altering the way the laws of physics works when in battle, there's little which can be done against him. There is a way to stop him from changing the laws of physics... but I doubt they have the ability to do this... yet. "There is no cowardise in running away from a superior foe." I don't know who said that... but your characters may want to listen to this advice. ____________________________________________________________________ Legion stared at Hero. Legion: "Calls it quit? You think I'll let you win? I never lost a single game and I won't begin now! I'm merely warming up, after all!" Legion closed it's eye and began to change the laws of physics! Legion: "Prepare yourself!" LAW BREAKER FLASH! Suddenly, Legion fired a gigantic shockwave of energy that inverted the way the laws of physics were working within this section of the chaotic realm! Starting now, all objects will fall to the sky (instant death) unless they grab something... or are flying like Legion. Also, time and space flow in reverse which means that when an attack is executed, one must execute the attack in reverse in order for it to strike. It also means that status problems cannot be inflicted since time is flowing backward... but after a while, status problems that the party suffered in the past may return! Of course, the change is only temporary and only affect those standing in the battlefield. If the party was to run away, they would return to normal. Legion: "?ti t'nsi ,looC ?siht ekil uoy od woh ,oS" Legion laughed and suddenly, the nearby trees were destroyed by beams of laser! The trees just burnt out of a sudden and the lasers returned right into Legion's tentacles and then, he charged them in reverse. Yep, indeed, time was actually flowing in reverse! | "You pretend like you have got this won.... Ok Dark Wish, it is your turn to show this place the true power of the swords!" Hero had remained normal as the sword blazed crazily. The sword begean to expel the deminsion twist, but it stopped after a few seconds and a voice was heard through Hero's mind. "My powers won't work here, the best I can do is get you out of this. This relm has drained my powers, the point that you still exist is beyond me. You need to form the true power again, so I'm getting us out of here." Dark Wish spoke to Hero's mind, and in a second it flashed and Hero and Bel, disappeared, or rather... attempted to. The flash was meant to get them out of the relm all together, or at at least get them somewhere safer. |

| Off: Magic is very UNreliable in the Chaos Heaven becease that while it still works... it has side effects that doesn't appear in the normal world. In this case, the party was teleported away to a safe location... but Hero paid a very harsh price: He is no longer Hero. He isn't anyone anymore, he's merely a shadow who's identity was stolen. Fortunately, this is fixed almost immediately as you will see... but next time, maybe the party won't be so lucky. ____________________________________________________________________ Dark Wish's attempt didn't worked. The Chaos Heaven simply swallowed all of the power he had used and channelled it into Legion, making him even stronger than before!... but however, since the Chaos Heaven was not a living creature and was not able to choose where it was channelling the power, a bit of the power indeed reached the party and caused the party to be teleported away from Legion. Unfortunately, they were not teleported closer to the exit... but rather even deeper within the Chaos Heaven. They were now inside of a strange underground palace. Beautiful paintings of dead flowers and tortured creatures were on the walls. Since the light of the sun could not reach the palace, it was rather dark as the only sources of light within the palace were small lamps that emitted very little light. As soon as the party teleported in, a small demon was entering the room. The demon was surprised by the party suddenly appearing and ran away, panicking. Some kind of dark figure was standing between Hero and Bel. ???: "Interesting... very interesting... You are Hero and Bel, right? I am a shadow, a being who's identity was stolen by the Shadow Demons. You see... when one lose his identity... he lose his very life and become non-existant. He becomes a Shadow Demon too... and I'm fed up with that! As such, I shall be, starting now, be know as Hero!" Suddenly, Hero sheated his swords and turned around and then, he left the room, laughing. The Shadow Demon had stolen Hero's identity! He was now truly Hero and Hero was now the Shadow Demon next to Bel. Suddenly, Hero came back within the room, followed by the demon who had been scared by the party's appearance. ???: "How you dare steal the identity of one of the Shadow Queen's guests!" Hero: "But... but..." ???: "There is not "but"! Give back to this man his identity!" Hero rebecame himself. The Shadow Demon teleported next to the smaller demon and stared at the place where his feet should be... (shadow demon): "I'm sorry..." ???: "I hope you are! Now scram!" The Shadow Demon disappeared. ???: "Sorry about all the trouble. This is the Palace of Despair, a sanctuary for souls who lost their identity and either turned into Shadow Demons or are about to become Shadow Demons. A lot of them would give away all that they have just to have an identity like you for even just a second. Unfortunately for them, they do not seem to understand that altought an identity can be stolen... one can always remake himself one. The Queen sure knows about this... and so do I... anyway! Sorry to annoy you about this. My name is Flick. I am a servant of the Shadow Queen and you are welcome in the Palace of Despair. Altought the name may make you think that this is a dangerous place for mortals... it is quite the opposite. This is probably the only safe place in the entire Chaotic Realm. I don't know all the details but I bet our queen can explain everything." The demon's disguise finally disappeared. It wasn't a demon after all... well, not entirely. It was a fallen angel, an angel who had turned away from the light and as such, had mutated. Flick: "I know... I know... Angels shouldn't have horns and their wings' feathers shouldn't be this pointy and spiky... but well, all good angels look a bit like demons since the Sale. I was not born when it happened... but if what my mother said is exact, it was when the Absolute Evil finally defeated the Master of Good and conquered Heaven, thus gaining total control over the Afterlife. According to what I heard, it was a harsh blow to the forces of Good but... anyway, this is the past. The Absolute Evil is long dead and slowly, the fallen angels are starting to rise again... not that it is evident to me. You see... Evil was supposed to vanish when the source of all Evils was destroyed and when the legendary hero killed the evil half of the Creator of the Universe... but the problem is that according to rumors, a time loop is still keeping the Chaotic Realm locked within the past, when Evil still existed. Technically, it means that this is the only place in the entire Universe where true, pure Evil still exist which does sucks." Flick examined Hero a bit... Flick: "Weird... very weird... You know what? You're covered with some kind of red, sticky substance... like blood... exept that it's really soul energy. Don't tell me that you attempted to fight Legion, right? Legion is the adoptive son of the Absolute Evil himself. He's not truly evil... but at the same time, he has a very twisted and weird view on the what's good what's evil case. You're lucky you're not one of his... "friends"... Anyway! I guess you should clean those clothes before meeting the Shadow Queen. You cannot meet her like this!... and anyway, you must be very tired from your battle with Legion. Legion sure likes to "play" rough as they say... Well, I guess I should just stop annoying you and show you the way. Follow me!" Flick kicked the Shadow Demon! Flick: "Don't try it on the other one!" (shadow demon): "But... I want to be Bel!" Flick: "You heard the queen, right? Make yourself a new identity! Don't steal somebody's identity!" (shadow demon): "How lame!" Flick: "Yes, I'm lame!... and you will live with it!" Flick opened the door and invited the party to go trought. Flick: "While there seems to be only darkness beyond this point, it is totally safe. You see, all doors are protected by a Dark Force Field. These force fields are really efficient and conveniant! All those with evil intentions are turned back into the Graveyard, where the Unholy Legion sleeps while those with good intentions are directly teleported to their destinations. That's right! No need to travel trought endless corridors! You appear exactely where you wanted to go. Cool, isn't it? Anyway, you can go in first or I can go in first if you don't trust me. Really... | "You'll have to give me a second then... Be happy shadow, if you were me for a second longer, you might be feeling pain beyond your comprehension..." Hero spoke, but his voice was hollow... Dark lightning began to arc across his body and soon arced to the ground. Hero didn't show any emmotion, but when it was over straightend up. "I'll have to mearly whatch... Dark Wish's power isn't cheap, and I'm surprised that I'm still alive after that... Anyways, let these two take over." Hero faded and in his place Serra and Destin stood again, Serra with six swords, and a great katana, and Destin with the other six and a shield. They looked around, but didn't seem surprised, they had been whatching the entire time, even though they couldn't move. What was more disturbing was the figure that had blocked the time attacks from hitting them. Back in the graveyard, Star was looking around. He had managed to absorb the time attacks, and regain some power, but he knew that he couldn't risk being detected. "Well... Legion is still around, but that won't be a problem. I've been able to restore some balance to this place, even though it is only around me. Now I just have to worry about how I am getting out of here." Star had managed to link to Destin's body and had been able to use Destin to support himself. When Hero came, it took him out of his linked form and he had to absorb the time attacks to regain enough power to maintain his existance here. He could feel this place was interrupting with his power, but he had enough to manage himself. "Well only one way to get past this place, good thing I kept track of Hero, so I know where he... Looks like Hero gave back control, but now I can sense Destin. Heh, I can only hope this works..." Star built time energy around him, to the best of his ability, He spread all the time energy he could into the area, and froze it in place. He than began to walk further into this chaotic universe. Serra and Destin began to walk towards the door in the sanctuary, but they were both being careful. Niether of them was sure if it was safe, and so far their best plan was: Let's make Bel go first. "Hey Bel how about you go first, because you wouldn't want to send two kids to a trap would you?" EDIT= I know you are going to say along the lines of something, that you can't say Star suceeded in stopping time, but Star wouldn't know if he did or didn't. | Behind Star, Legion appeared... or is it? Legion was just very... different from last time. Legion: "Star, isn't it? I seen that you attempted to stop time in order to defeat my older brother... but Holy Legion is not there. He has vanished... for now. I am his younger brother, Unholy Legion. Unlike my brother, I am on the side of Good and I feed on bodies unstead of souls. As such... I am innoffensive... well, unless provoked. I am the guardian of the Chaotic Realm and it looks like some strangers entered this realm, isn't it? Well... you and all the others are here becease..." Unholy Legion could not finish his sentance. In a flash of light, a gigantic hand made of pure light appeared out of nowhere, grabbed Unholy Legion, and thrown him into another part of the Chaotic Realm. Unholy Legion appeared a bit closer to the exit than before. Unholy Legion: "Oh no! Not this! I wanted to warn him that he's here becease that one of them has the blood of the "Ex" flowing trought their veins... and that... that... why... voice... what the..." A mysterious force made Unholy Legion mute. A figure of pure light approached Unholy Legion. ???: "The blood of the "Ex" is a demonic one... and it is our duty to hunt down and kill all those with demonic blood. You will not be able to save them, Unholy Legion! We will find the one... and we will kill him, like the demon he is for Light is the only true power of Good. Darkness only lead to Evil." The figure disappeared... and as it did, Legion noticed that he had been chained to a mountain. Unless someone would free him, he was stuck there... which was bad... really bad. He had just opened one of the many seals within the Chaotic Realm in order to see if the evil ones contained within had weakened... and he hadn't closed it yet! | Star jumped in suprise, more suprise because time wasn't stopped, and tried to see the energy of the hand. Star knew he could chase the other Legion, but he wasn't sure he wanted to either. "So I can tell I'm being whatched, and that I'm far from alone. So tell me, what happened here? What is this place?" Star brought out his sword and was ready to fight if he had to, but he had a feeling he really didn't want to. |

| There was no anwser. Complete silence... well, almost complete. Slowly, the graveyard recovered from the battle that had taken place in it. The wind began to blow again and the ground began to distort again as the place rebecame chaotic... well, exept for the place Star had affected with his power. After a full minute, it became obvious that none of the two Legions were in the graveyard right now. In short, nothing was happening and if Star wanted to go deeper within the Chaotic Realm... well, there was no longer anything to stop him from doing so. |

| Bel had a confused look on his face. It was hard for the brain to engulf all this information and on top of that he had a heck of a headache. Bel:  WHAT THE FLYIN' FUCK IS HAPPENING!?
