Has anyone used this? It rules! PD2005 formats PHP code to be in different colors for the appropriate functions, allows for better formatting of code (and supports formatting of CSS, HTML, and PHP). It's really awesome, I recommend it to everyone who codes in any of these.

doesn't look too bad. I'm currently using Dev-PHP 3.0 and it's been really great. Basically all the features you've listed excluding a complete function browser as part of the editor (it only had it manifested in the Documentation)

also, did this have a built in browser, i'm being too lazy to check. i'll give the program a go, though.

That looks quite funky actually. I downloaded Dev-PHP but never actually got round to installing it. So I'll download this one, and get round to installing it in 2025, maybe.

it's GUI is actually rather annoying. The syntax highlighting seems to be relatively slow compared to Dev-PHP. No built in browser. I really don't need almost any of the toolbars on there.

All in all, i'm sticking with Dev-PHP. For me, it's just better.

Well, I didn't notice, heh. This is the first I've used; I think I'll check out Dev-PHP.

I like EditPad Pro the most :p It's not specifically for PHP, but it also has syntax highlighting and works for a lot of other programming languages too :p

double-clicking or on File -> Open ?

are you're PHP files associated with PHP Designer 2005 and not with Dev-PHP?

Actually, it'll put it down a few lines from the error itself. So you are wrong.

all the same, if anything it's just good practice to make sure your code is in working order. of course there are the occasional slip-ups.. but if you think about it, you really should't have to be reviewing your entire program for the syntax error. At least i know when i design i run the program a few times before it's completion, so you just check the most recently coded portion after the last time you ran your program.. not too big of a deal, really. *Gavin shrugs*
