I created a banner for my sig, but because of the alpha filter I use for my post, it makes the banner transparent. Is there a way I can still keep this filter on, but make my banner show up like it should (not being transparent)?

Edit:

And how do I get that New reply stuff out of there

Edit2:

Removed my layout until I can get it to work It ingulfed DS Post

First off CLOSE YOUR DAMN TAGS! Your table is eating the links in your profile. You're probably missing a </table> in there.

You'd have to put the banner in a TD that is not defined with the alpha transparency, since everything in it shows up as whatever transparency %age you've set on it...or you'd have to give up on the kind of transparency and use something like a 2x2 GIF with the diagonal right a color and diagonal left transparent.

Well, I don't know what you would do, I never use filters. But I can tell you that filters only work in IE, so only about 50% of the board can see it. What you need to do is use a semitransparent png for background color, and then have the filter when whoever is using IE, via css like

td {
background-image: png.png;
}
*html td {
background-image: none;
background-color: #------;
filter: alpha(opacity: 70);
}

I also saw your sig though, and it looks very nice. I like the text

Edit: Why don't you try using a filter style in the image like
<img src="" style="filter:alpha(opacity: 100)">

Kirby ATW just helped me out with this layout, and I want to know if it works fine for everyone in both IE and Firefox. BTW, does it take a while to load for anyone else?

Yep, looks good.

But 1 thing is that the bg flows a little onto the border, which doesn't look so great.
