Last week George Bush came here to Ottawa, and wasn't welcomed well, what with hostile protestors everywhere. He was going to Parliament hill which is only a few blocks from my high school, so I went to the protest to see what was going on. People were burning life-size dolls of Bush on stakes and stuff and soon there was a riot when he arrived, people were throwing rocks and the SWAT came and stuff. I wasn't hurt or anything but I got tear gassed a little.

I guess some people really hate Bush obsessively. Its also pretty sad how a lot of Canadians care more about American politics than their own.

Not just them, but the world. Seriously.

Anyway, you make it sound like the hate feelings were unanamous (spelling, yeah) and they weren't. A lot of people welcomed him with open arms too.
But the whole burning thing was beyond deplorable. It's a no wonder most Americans despise Canada. (I don't, so don't flame me plz)
I even saw a sign that basically said "Bush = Hitler". I can't comprehend the fact that some people actually believe that. It's the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard in my life.

Well, I remember a couple of months ago a few nutso Americans got up into BC to protest us having a progressive society and started burning the Canadian flag.

As for our politics. I'm a Canadian politician. Our politiking matters during the 4 months before and after election time. It is fucking stupid, and I hate Canadians who have no patriotism in them.

As for the Bush = Hitler thing. Imagine looking at what he is doing through the eyes of a progressive as Americans say "socialist liberal" society.

I actually find the bush = hitler thing kinda funny, even if it's far from being like that. Hitler was far worse of course.

Bush aren't liked very well outside US, people was quite disapointed here when bush did loose the election.

Thought still, of course do they welcome him with open arms. It's kinda stupid not letting the leader of the world biggest country visit yours.

And well, i'm not fond of people doing riots for things like that, a simple demonstration would suffice.

Canadians should love George Bush. A weaker dollar means cheaper visits to America.

I personally don't like George Bush, but to the point of burning things? No.

And as for the Hitler thing, this doesn't make sence. Hitler was trying to make everyone the same (or "Perfect") while George Bush...well... doesn't.

a cheaper dollar also means tougher trade with the US for Canada.... if the canadian dollar is low then canadian goods are cheaper for americans and therefore canada sells easily.... so the high Canadian dollar although good for tourism... is bad for most everything else

I can't remember ever buying anything that said "Made in Canada". Maybe a case of Labatt's or something.

Everything you own has something Canadian in it Almost all of the mineral, hardwood, etc. the US imports comes from Canada.

And lots of GM cars. Lots of them are Canadian. And if you've ever smoked marijuana, that's generally Canadian.
