...anyone with too much money here?

But then, I guess you could earn more money if you then sold stuff seperatly that you bought.

I wonder who will win this auction. :O

Bet you anything some of those bulk cartridge/CD packages would include a prototype or two.

Of course, I pity the guy who left his 1992 Chevy Astro in the parking lot by accident.

Man. I cant believe they're going. They were there from near the beginning. They were making NES games. This means no more in the Extreme-G series... I'm saddened...

I will grudgingly admit that Acclaim, early on, released some pretty decent stuff as a publisher.

But as a developer? Crap game after crap game after crap game. And I don't mean at the same percentage as your average developer, I mean that if you put a gun to my head and demanded I name ONE good game Acclaim developed, you'd be picking my brains off of the floor, because I simply can't do it.

In short, I'm not overly saddened at this. Indeed, I'd say I've been waiting for this for the past 15 years or so.

EDIT: Okay, Friday the 13th wasn't COMPLETELY terrible, so I guess that makes it the masterpiece of the Acclaim catalog (Yes, I know it was technically an LJN game, but LJN:Acclaim::Ultra:Konami, IE the same company under a different name).

I liked the Extreme G series, but other than that, they were crap.

Die, Acclaim.

Can't name any good games they made? Off the top of my head, I can't name any games they made, period.

Right now though I blame that on repressed memory.

Acclaim = LJN because back in the day, Nintendo only wanted third parties to make a maximum of 5 games a year. So this (along with the Konami/Ultra scam) were ways of getting around that limit.
