GBA link support, via both cable and wireless, and online support for all GBA/DS games.

Is there an expansion port? They might make a cable for that. If not maybe we'll get lucky and be able to easily wire one in like with Super Game Boy. (It has the right pins, you just need to connect a cable.)

Interesting fact: 79.99 times 1.6 isn't particularly close to 149.99.

The DS (rounded to $150) is 1.875 times more expensive than the GBA (rounded to $80).

Edit: Forgot to put a dollar sign in front of 80!

I think he was going more for witticism there, Kratos. And the long running selling price, 89.99, times 1.6 is 144, pretty close to 150.

I got my SP for 89.99, anyway... >.> I guess nowadays the price might as well be 79.99, what with all of the price drops that've been going around.

In any case, I'll get a DS because I need a new GBA as it is, and it'd be pretty neat to have a DS when the games start releasing. So for me, it's a double-pronged benefit!

The SP is selling for more than the GBA. He said the GBA.

And y'know, trying to be witty doesn't work if you're not also accurate. If you attempt to say something witty but it's inaccurate, you wind up just sounding stupid. I know this from *sigh* personal experience.

Assuming he meant GBA's first week (and he most likely did... *sigh*) It's still wrong since I definitely remember it being 100-ish dollars.

What will be funny this holiday season is parents trying to get their kids the DS and accidently getting a GBASP. I will laugh and laugh and then go buy one myself with assorted gift cards....

From what I know, they're just small game carts (I could've read the thing on the DS site wrong though). I could be sure back when the DS was just a possible thing, I read that it would be able to play Gamecube games Maybe it actually said 'GBA'. Who knows now though; I can't find that paper it was written on.

Ahem.

Anyway, here's something fun for all you DS/SM63DS owners!

Yoshi's minigames.. go to the generic pick-daisy-petals one. Keep playing it. Repeatedly, don't stop.

Eventually you'll get to a flower with just one petal!

The one right after that is 6 petals... but don't poke it. If you do, all of them fall off and it does the "Loves me not!" noise!

That's it, though.

----

For Shell Slam (?), a good way to get lots of points is to use both styluses or use your thumbnails. Put the first on the bottom of the screen, then poke the top! The way the touchscreen works will make the game think you went from the bottom to the middle almost instantly, sending the shell rocketing off at top speed! Just don't h it it straight verticle (like I've done a few times )

Ok!

In a few days I'll be getting my unofficial GBA movie player (can also be used on DS). So that means, playing movies, mp3s and NES games on my GBA or DS.

For those interested, here is the link.

Anyone with a flash cart can already do that. I take all kinds of music and videos with me every day on my Nintendo DS (or previously, my GBA SP)... It's really a lot of fun to watch anime episodes and video clips and stuff on my free time at school, etc.

Has anyone heard about the new DS game, Jam With The Band? It looks really interesting.

Check out this video of people playing it.
http://www.1101.com/nintendo/band_bros/DS-demo.html

The official site for it is below. Play some Mario music by clicking on the purple hue of japanese text on the front page. It's fun!
http://www.1101.com/nintendo/band_bros/

It's going to have music from Mario, Kirby, Sailor Moon, Full Metal Alchemist...

...and if it's as easy to use as the Ocarina in Zelda: The Ocarina of time. I could see it as good game.

I doubt it would be a big hit or anything, games like that one dosen't get very big sales. :/
