I'm going to an Arcade lock-in on Sept 16th, and I'll try to bring my camera. I'm ttrying to beat 10 footer Number 4 I want to to be MaxX Unlimited The Ten footers I have beaten at the arcade go in this order: 1. Max 300 2. Paranoia Survivor 3. Paranoia Respect (At home.. Stepmania Judge at 6, life diffculty at 5, ignition pad) Now, Nine footers I am trying to beat: 1. Drop Out 2. Cartoon Heroes 3. So Deep I haven't yet gone for Sakura or Bag yet because recently, my arcade unlocked the songs, and I didn't want to go for bag because it wasnt much of a hard 10 footer. Oh god, my feet always hurt after getting halfway through so deep. OH AND TO CLEAR UP CONFUSION FROM A FEW PAGES BACK: If you are talking about arcade, In order to get OMES You need to AA Legend of Max On Extra Stage (edited by Graviteh on 09-05-05 02:28 AM) |

Today at the mall a group of people came in to play ITG 2 and they were just... amazing. They were padding songs I had no chance of passing on a keyboard. I saw pandemonium beat on expert for the first time with an 84%. The people were crazy, double and triple starring songs on expert. They all seemed pretty nice too. After they left we used our hook up at the arcade and played an assload of free games. I managed to beat pump me amadeus today with a C on 3x, other than that I haven't done too much stepmania wise. |

Given the above post, I feel extremely unlucky not having an arcade anywhere near our house There used to be one (or possibly even two) at the mall my Dad works at, but they were closed quite a while ago now. I actually can't think of any arcades in this city at all There may still be one up in the North Maple Mall, but walking, it's about an hour away from our house. Good thing October's coming up soon, as I'm getting more and more eager to try DDR: Mario Mix Anyways, even though we just had a long weekend, I didn't play StepMania all that much In between fixing bits of Dark Vampriel's layout, trying to figure out the post increments for the Battle Network rank set, Geneforge 3, and trying to get my dog (well, Nintendog) to place first in an obedience contest, it sort of got forgotten That isn't to say I didn't play it at all. I still have 7 screens, but it seemed like less than normal. I actually decided to give some difficult songs a try on 1.5 (not the music speed). The last three screenshots are the ones with that modifier turned on. :: Manhattan Sports Club, Heavy :: neoMAX, Challenge :: War Game, Heavy :: Sync, Heavy :: Fun Fun Pharaoh, Challenge :: Riviera Battle Theme, Challenge Now, even though some of those are in the A.O.I. theme, while others are in Techno Fiend 3, they were all taken over the weekend. If you want an explanation of why I changed themes, here you go: upon getting home on Friday, I installed some new Winamp skins I'd downloaded, and settled on one I liked the most at the present time. I left Winamp open, then launched StepMania, and noticed it was rather choppy while playing any song. I took a look at how much RAM it was using in the Task Manager, which was over 100Mb (I don't know if that's normal or not, as it's the first time I ever checked). I restarted the computer, then opened Winamp again, followed by StepMania. The same problem was still present, so I tried switching themes, to no avail. Closing Winamp seemed to solve the problem, which was when I realized I forgot to turn off Alpha Blending for the skin I kept using A.O.I. for a little while longer, and changed back to Techno Fiend 3 before going to bed I also took a bit more time to work on my steps to the Romancing SaGa song, and all I can say right now is that Voltage is the most full out of all the "categories" in the graph it shows. That's Challenge though, which is sort of understandable. With luck I'll have some screens of new songs to show tomorrow, seeing as there appears to be three that are new. Hopefully they'll be good results |

I'll do that as soon as it comes back up, but as with Omega, I can give an explanation for only having that version of the song, in case it makes a difference. Before I even found out that StepMania existed, I played FlashFlashRevolution. I chose to purchase the version of neoMAX there as soon as I had enough points to, and really liked the song. The music in itself is quite good, and the steps to it were pretty challenging as well. Upon realizing that I could download StepMania and songs to go with it, and be able to play a game of this style offline, and finding a link to Bemanistyle, I downloaded the first simfile of all the songs on FFR that I liked. neoMAX was one of them, and as per the above, I downloaded the first simfile of it that was on the site. Shortly after that we lost our internet connection, and I've yet to download another version of the song. I can't at present either, for obvious reasons Believe me. When Bemanistyle is back up (which will hopefully be soon), I'll be downloading as many simfiles as I can, as I'm bored with the ones I've got right now, and as you've pointed out, some may not be the complete versions, or even the "right" versions. That's longer than I thought it would be, but it explains everything, so I'll leave it at that |

That sounds like a good idea. I'll download and install AIM on this computer after this, since I uninstalled it after getting the nonstop megamix from alte Hexe / Ziffski (whichever name you prefer ). I see you've got your AIM name listed in your profile, but I don't know whether the "allow list" bit after it would make a difference in things, so I'll just sign on (my AIM name is karadur22, but it's not listed in my profile since I hardly use the program) and wait, hopefully to get that song from you today If not today, tomorrow, or any day after that. |

How nice to find out I forgot to uninstall AIM from the front computer yesterday It was open when I came in, but it's uninstalled now, so hopefully that doesn't happen again. Anways, I gave neoMAX a try on the hardest difficulty as soon as I got home last night, and I didn't do as well as I hoped I would. About a third of the way through the slow part at the beginning, I failed I find any song / part of a song like that, with a slower BPM and thus a very small space between the arrows to be difficult Practicing enough should help that though. Heavy on the same song wasn't too difficult, as I managed to get an A on it, but after that, I tried Challenge again, except with the first modifier changed to 1.5x. I have screenshots of both difficulties, but I'll only post the Challenge one. :: neoMAX, Challenge, 1.5x :: Tight Wad, Heavy :: July, Heavy As for the other songs (Healing Vision RMX and R.O.D come to mind), I gave them a try, but for whatever reason didn't take a screenshot of the result screen. Those will have to wait until tomorrow. Now, after looking around a bit, I've found two sites that have a decent number of simfiles to download, so it'll be nice to actually have some new songs to play tonight. According to the description field of one of the sites, some of the songs don't have banners or backgrounds, which may make things a bit tricky when it comes to screenshots. There appears to be about 60 simfiles between the two sites, so it's time to get downloading |

I first played at .6 music, then .7, then 1.0 and took me about 20 tries. I'm not sure how much I whored max 300 I used to play it as final stage every final round at the arcade. Nowadays I play MU or So Deep. Paranoia Respect was a joke. Easy 10 footer for me |

Whatever was normal. I know this much, DD can also AA (I believe FC) it but I'm pretty sure he hasn't passed PARANOiA -Respect- or survivor. By the by, I'll try to get something up for this week come Friday, but I wouldn't put a lot of promise out on it. BMS is STILL down as well, so a sixth one out would mean that I'd have to UL over two days to get all the ones I've done up because they have a 5 per day policy which, I'm pretty sure, will not change. I've got another question right now that I started wondering about while playing a song I downloaded yesterday night. What exactly, in this sort of game is a "freeze roll"? Said song is called "July -Euromix-". The banner has a couple fireworks, and then the name of the song, so one would assume the background would be pretty much the same. It's not The exact text in the background says "Freeze Roll OMG" (it feels weird typing that ). Furthermore, the filename of the background in the song folder is "freeze roll warning.jpg". There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary in the song (although I only played it on Challenge), which is what got me wondering Anyways, that question aside, although I've played StepMania a decent amount in the past few days, I still only have 3 screenshots today Two of the songs seemed to be quite easy, so they could be intented for a pad (but the site they were downloaded from didn't specify which), so I brought them in anyways. :: The Famous Polka, Challenge, 1.5x :: Sting Chameleon, Challenge :: Little Kitty Mine, Challenge I realize the banner in the first screenshot doesn't show the song name, but it's not very hard to forget it, when that's the only song with a banner that looks like that Also, whoever was resposible for making the rest of the songs in the group "Little Kitty Mine" is in really likes mines Nearly every single song I tried had at least one, but half of those songs don't have either a background or banner, and sometimes are missing both as well. It's certainly different to suddenly have to incorporate not pressing the arrow keys for mines into playing the game Either way, I'm happy with those results, even if two of the three songs weren't intented to be played with a keyboard |

I know what you mean about the mines, I recently got ahold of the In The Groove sims and they all have them, same with the arcade machine. Along with the handsteps which my keyboard doesn't like. I think freeze rolls are freezes but you still have to tap arrows repeateadly. |
