Originally posted by Prier I assume you're talking about what I posted, and in that case, yes, I am. In fact, it's the only version I have, which makes a bit of a difference in things I assume "TMix" is just a short form for Tournamix, so I just searched for "Omega", "Tmix" and "Tournamix" in the simfile database on bemanistyle, and didn't find anything Are those simfiles supposed to be easy to find? The only things I've got from my searching with google are links to either torrent sites with either non working links / no seeders, or to forums, etc. that either have links to other sites that supposedly have the files, or non-working direct links Although I should ask if you're either talking about the Tournamix 5 version of that song being called "DEATH!!" or that I deserve that for playing the "wrong" version. That aside, I didn't get many decent scores last night, mainly because I was playing through the 8 original DDR sets I figure those songs are meant for a pad instead of a keyboard, and it wouldn't be too great to post my scores on easy (at least with a keyboard) songs. I also had to sell Rubber Duck Race tickets from 6 to 9, which meant that I only had about half an hour at home before heading out again. It's funny that whenever I see / type the word "duck", I think of Xuxa, because it has the duck quacking in it I'll get some more simfiles today though, and see what I can do with them over the weekend. I may also work on my steps to one of the songs I'm working at, as I haven't done that in quite a while now |

Well, I was listening to both Impossible Songs, and I just decided to list all the songs I could hear: The Impossible Song: - PSM, CSFIL, Dynamite Rave, Drop the Bomb (System SF Mix), AM-3P (AM East Mix), Sakura, B4U, MAX300, Witch Doctor, V, MaxX Unlimited, Afronova, Matsuri Japan, back to PSM The Impossible Song 2: - The legend of MAX, Rhythm & Police, Love Love Shine (?), Look to the Sky, PARANOiA KCET, 321 Stars, era (nostalmix), Gradiusic Cyber, R3, Ecstacy (?), back to LoM There may be one or two at the end of ITS2 that I didn't catch. I'm not sure about LLS, but I could hear some distinct Japanese vocals at the beginning... EDIT: Also, is BMS down? I wasn't able to get on last night, and I still can't this morning. The past weekend was more uneventful in terms of playing this game than I thought it would be Half-Life 2 took up a bunch of time, but it and StepMania were the only two things I did on the computer. Anyways, I have 4 screenshots to show today. This time, I'll give a warning in advance. The screenshots you're about to see may not be from the "proper" version of the song, as in, the one that's most popular, but chances are I don't have said version of the song on my computer, so I play what version I do have. Hopefully that's understandable. :: The Least 333 Sec., on Challenge :: Megaman III - Prelude, on Challenge :: SO DEEP - Perfect Sphere Remix - Full Version, on Challenge :: Rainbow Flyer, on Heavy I know the first three songs only have one difficulty level, so it's really a moot point to say "on Challenge" for each of them, but I still put that in there for the sake of completeness I downloaded all of Toph's simfiles on Friday. Some of them I can pass, although with a "B" or lower, while others I can do well on for part of the song, but then die later on in it. Out of all of them, "Lower World" and "Rainbow Flyer" are my favorites I should mention that I base that judgement strictly on the music. I can't really comment on the steps, since I've only played the songs in StepMania 2 times each The two above mentioned songs made me realize something rather odd dealing with the assist tick. Both of them have sections with a decent amount of yellow arrows. I find it easier to play through those songs while the assist tick is off, when it would seem that having it on would make the song easier, since you can hear when you need to press the button. Of course, you have to have a pretty quick reaction time. It seems that quick songs that have yellow arrows are easier (for myself, at least) with the assist tick off, whereas slow songs are more difficult without it on Just a weird thing I noticed. I figure this post has gone on long enough, so I'll end it here |

Oh, and there have been a few suggestions thrown out there for project #100. If you've been keeping track, you'll know that I'm nearing #100 in terms of sims that I've made ever since Megaman 3 Prelude. Now, it wouldn't make sense making just an ordinary sim for such an...I dunno...round number. So what I did was throw out a few suggestions to a few people and I think, based on the feedback I've gotten, that I can make a decision based on this evidence. For a time, I really thought it was going to be Moonlight Sonata, and that being that it would be all of the movements at a 15+ minute long simfile. There was a major problem with this; the music itself was off-sync in every way imaginable. If I would've gone and taken an attack at it, I would've gone nuts trying to keep it in sync. So...for the sake of sync in mind, I picked another option. Thing is...it may just be more daunting than Moonlight Sonata itself... No, I'm not joking. This behemoth will likely be the death of me mentally if my ambition really lets me go through with this. It may take a while, if you haven't guessed. That file itself is almost 65 minutes in length and is composed of 49 songs. In comparison, the DDREX NSMM was 40 minutes, cut to death, and composed of only 30 songs. The only modification I've done to the original MP3 is taking down the quality a tad (112 kbps) and killing the title and ending from it. All that's left is the actual songs. Now, if I actually do this, I would think that this is going to take a few days work. Adding to the fact that I've got college coming up, I might just be up shit creek trying to get this done in a fast manner. But...the plan is that I will in fact do all of this. Of course, if I do, this will leave me with a simfile that is about 50 megs. The only terms of hosting that I have for something like that would be BMS itself and I would have to split the file into at least 3 files in RAR format to make sure the whole thing gets in there. Their filesize limits top out at 20 megs per, so you can see how it's going to be clunky getting this sent around to people. So, yea, that's the plan. Am I any more insane that I was? No. It's just this makes #100 all the more special putting a shitload of effort into a monstrosity. |

So, why does my copy of DDRMAX 2 behave as though Game Over is set to End of Song (In other words, no matter how badly I do, it'll let me go until the end of the song) even though it's clearly set to Arcade in the Options screen? Additionally, the pad to this point is somewhat unresponsive at times, although this is probably due to the fact I'm playing on a carpet as much as anything else. :\ In any event, it's fun omg omg ^____________^ |

Because it probably IS set to End of Song? And you might have to adjust the timing of it a bit. DD had to do that with his cobalt flux. If it's off by beat, there's a way to set timing in the sound options. By the by, did you get a convertor? If you got a USB to whatever convertor, you can play SM on the comp with the pad. I'll check that out, but I think it has more to do with the pad's foam...almost like the arrows go down and stay down? Oh well. I apparently can't fail a song anyway, so....
I didn't actually, but it's definitely something I'll think about. |

Were you on Beginner? Beginner mode through the first stage doesn't fail you no matter what. Convertors run around 20 bucks depending on what you get. You'd have to get a decent one like BOOM or Super Joy Box for it to work right though. |

I think the nonstop 4th mix sim is an awesome idea, since I really enjoyed your megamix. Besides I want to try playing through a single sim for nearly an hour. Also BMS is having hardware problems, anyone know a mirror where I can get the Techno Fiend 3 theme? As far as keyboard play goes Ive been progressing a little but over the last two weeks, guess Ill post some screens later. |
