Originally posted by alte Hexe I didn't really have plans to. I had gone out there with the intent to find out if they had converters for their other pads, and obviously found out that they didn't. I asked about the Gamecube game because I thought it'd be like DDR / StepMania, but after seeing the dissapoinment on my face when I looked at the back of the game box, the clerk told me to think about it over the weekend I also can't slit her throat, as then I'd have no chance at all of getting the job they're hiring for And as for having that song, yes I do. I took a look at the readme before moving it to my external hard drive, and I'm quite eager to try it when I get home tonight You'll likely see my results tomorrow, unless I can't get a B or above |

Originally posted by Prier I plan on trying those when I get home as well I'll probably try them first, since they're obviously shorter than the other one is I'll likely bring screenshots of my results of those songs tomorrow as well, although don't get your hopes up for seeing them on the highest difficulty I also started working on my Half-Life 2 playthrough again on the weekend (last time I touched it was back in March), so I may not play StepMania as much as normal. I will play those three songs at least though, so you don't have to worry there |

My local arcade just got a brand new In the groove machine, so Ive been spending alot of my time playing there. The damn thing even has USB ports so you can save screenshots of your scores on a pendrive. Since my friends have such a great relationship with the arcade owner he'll let us have the key to the machine when no ones around and we can go crazy with free credits. I started to make a sim of a certain McDonalds rap from a radio commercial that I found somewhere a long time ago, but now Ive given up on that song ...its just too strange. I think ill start working on a new one soon. |

Originally posted by Prier I kept that in mind while trying those songs last night (on each difficulty, mind you), and I see what you mean On the first one, I can do alright until up where the half note beats / blue arrows start coming in. At that point, I either tried to continue doing the best I could, or just turn on AutoPlay for the rest of the song When I did the former, I got about ten seconds further into the song, then ran out of health As for the second, well, given that the half note beats are there from pretty much the start, I didn't stand a chance, as would be expected. I'd be somewhat disappointed that I'm unable to do those songs, except when I think about what the names of them are Note that both of the above were on Heavy. I didn't do too great on the other difficulties (yes, including Light), so I didn't bring in any screenshots of my results. I will try to do better on Standard or lower tonight, so if I'm lucky, you'll see them tomorrow. Getting away from those songs now, the only other ones I tried were DDR Nonstop Megamix, and Xenon. I got an "A" on Heavy from the latter, although I forgot to take a screenshot of it. I blame my brother though, as he was putting gameshark codes for Sonic Advance 2 and 3 onto his gameshark at the same time, and I accidentally closed StepMania when he wanted me to scroll up a bit Anyways, I have two screenshots of the nonstop megamix. First off is my Heavy mode results, here. I was hoping for an "A", but I nearly died in both "Stoic" (I think that's the name) and "Dance Dance Revolution". To be honest, I had to turn on AutoPlay for a majority of those songs, or else I would've run out of life I did Standard as well, which I got an "A" on, as can be seen here. If you ask me, that's pretty good for a song of such length It's hard to believe that I took almost two hours yesterday night to fully do that song twice. I stopped three times, one, because I was doing horribly bad, two, because I got a phone call, and nobody else was around to grab the phone for me, and three, once again, I felt I missed too many arrows. The only other song I did good on last night was "The Legend of Zelda Megamix". My result for it is here, and while I'm well aware there's no banner for the song, I know that's the right screenshot, because it's the only one in the directory that displays the theme default banner. I should also say I'm sorry if any of the above makes little sense, as I stayed up 'till 4 this morning playing games with a friend who stayed the night, so I've only had about 5 hours of sleep |

Hahaha... Well I just got done harassing DD to update the songs that he was missing...I think it was 23 that he was missing from me. :\ I'm up to 88...and DD gave me an -insane- idea for #100...I don't know if I'm too chicken to do it or not. |

Originally posted by Prier I have a pretty good idea, but insane, as in extremely difficult, or a really good idea? For what it's worth, I'm betting it's extremely difficult. Anything you'd be willing to elaborate on, or would you rather keep it a surprise? 88 simfiles you've done now though That's a lot of arrows I know you've now got two folders of songs on my computer, as any new songs I put into the first folder won't appear in the song list Maybe something theme-related, but it doesn't bother me too much. As for that "Hahaha" comment, I'd say something in my defense, but I really can't, seeing as I do the same thing to my brother when he tries playing the game. He was playing it last night, although mostly for the sake of finding songs that he likes, when he came across "Shake Your Booty" in one of the DDR sets. He tried to do the song on Standard difficulty, and, I believe, got a "C" at the end. Of course, he used to laugh at me for not being able to do any of the classical songs on FFR (FlashFlashRevolution) when it was the only place I played a game of this sort at, at first. It's really amazing when I think that all my involvment in this game stemmed out from playing a poorly made flash version of it (and I'm not talking about FFR). I'd post a link to said game, but it's no longer stored at the site I found it on. (edited by Karadur on 08-09-05 02:18 PM) |

I have a question about SM, and I was wondering if this happened to anyone else. When I play SM for a while (10 minutes or more) and I want to exit to the normal screen. Game Mode Options Edit/Sunc Songs That area, the game freezes up and it takes 3-4 minutes to restore itself. Does this happen to anyone else or do Dells just suck ass? |

Low amounts of RAM do that. If your system has like...less than 256MB RAM, it will more than likely have issues. I put up 64 megs on here for a 192 (I know, that's old nowadays) an d it worked way better with the added help. I would imagine 256 would minimize it. | |||

I noticed you resubmitted both Impossible Songs on BMS today, Hiryuu. And I've also noticed that a lot of people are bitching and whining because of the insane difficulty. Speaking of which, what were all the songs that you mixed into both songs? I caught most of the ones on the original, but there are a few near the end on the second one that I couldn't get. Also, I'm surprised that no one has tried to do a megamix of PARANOiA or TM yet. It could sound pretty good depending on how it's mixed... |

I actually don't know, I didn't do the mixing...it was something I got off of the net a while ago that went well to the vast speed. And I've been waiting for Trip Machine to be done for the longest time now...in terms of decent remixes...that's why I wanted Bouche to get TM Overload done but...he hasn't in the past year that he's been taunting me and DD about it. |

There is a McDonalds commercial playing currently, where Ronald McDonald is playing DDR. Then some kids go and dance behind him. Then it does that "I'm lovin' it" diddly and that's it. This confused me for a while. What are they advertising? Why am I watching this? I just now figured it out. Ronald looks like a retard when he plays the game. There's a messge here. YOU TOO will look like a nut if you play this game, and your time is better well spent eating at McDonalds. They're pulling away from the DDR community. Fight back. With your moves. I am not a crackpot. |

In the event that you haven't been told of a place to get them already, Uncle Elmo, check your PM's, as I found a torrent that apparently has what you're looking for, but I'm assuming posting links to them is not allowed on this board I accidentally sent a blank PM as well. Sorry about that. Seeing as I didn't post anything in here yesterday (mostly due to the fact that I was too tired), I've got a few more screenshots of my results than normal today. To avoid making this post too long, I'll just give you links to the pictures, without the explanation :: Healing Vision - Full Hate Mix, on Heavy :: Healing Vision - Angelic Mix, on Heavy :: Healing Vision - Half Mix, on Heavy :: Healing Vision - Angelic Megamix, on Heavy :: PARANOiA =iNSANiTY= (Full), on Challenge :: Omega, on Heavy :: Sepia, on Challenge And that's it for last night's results. I don't know why I did all the Healing Visions, since I did the Full Hate Mix version because I like that song, then just did the rest after for whatever reason I gave both Impossible Songs another try, and this time, I managed to get a "C" on the first one, although on Beginner difficulty. It's the speed at which the arrows move that I don't like, although I guess it was a necessary bit of the song, when it comes to making it impossibly difficult. The only way I can stand a chance at surviving for some of the songs on higher difficulties is to look near the bottom of the window, as when I do that, the arrows seem to move slower Problem there is that I don't look at the receptor arrows, so I have to remember the timing at which they appeared, or I'm going to start missing a large amount Once again, that's pretty much all I can think of to say for now, but I doubt this is all I'll post in this thread today |
