I dont quite get what a gap is yet, but it hasnt mattered yet. All the songs I am making are on time perfectly now, thanks to a little method I cooked up. I even have video sync down perfectly, and I am starting to get the pause thing down. Expect something kickass sometime.

Actually, your gap was off last time. Your last one was a bit late on the gap and needed to be tightened.

Originally posted by Kario I know you asked Priere, but according to a site I just found "the gap is the number of milliseconds from the beginning of the recording to the first beat of the song". This site goes into a bit of detail on how to find what it is for the song, so you could check that out if you're having trouble with it Now, here's yet another question from me. So far I've only had it happen in two songs (Disc Error and PARANOiA =Bounce Connected Mix=), where some character appears on the lower right corner of the screen, and calls out "yoo hoo" or something There's a screenshot of it here, if it makes it easier to see what I'm talking about. The questions I have about it, are, what makes it appear, and what is it good for? I think the fact that I sped that song up to 1.4x may have something to do with it, but I'm not sure, as when it happened in Disc Error, the song was playing at the normal speed I can't see anything in the program that relies on it either In short, it's got me stumped and mystified Thanks for any answers you can give |

For the character popup, that would be getting a Perfect or better 250 times -straight-, AKA a toasty. No greats or lower. Here is an example of how to do that more than once in a song. (edited by Priere on 07-27-05 01:34 PM) |

Originally posted by Priere I see. Going by the conditions you have to meet to get it to appear then, I guess I've been lucky I don't suppose it has an effect on your final score at the end of the song or anything? Thinking about that, it would be hard to determine, but it can't hurt to ask As for the example you posted, with 5 of them appearing in one song, I'm quite pleased that I even managed to get one I guess the length of the song is one big factor in getting multiple toasties as well, seeing as that was your longest song. The longest (I'm getting tired of typing that word) one I know of is The Glass Prison, and although I don't stand a chance at that right now, I'd hate to see what worse ones there area As for songs that I can do now, no new ones yet, but I have a feeling Electric Fields is going to be the next one I'm able to pass. The part near the end with the heavy concentration of arrows always gets me about one third of the way into it though |

DDR Megamix, about 45 minutes, is longer.

Yea, DDREX NNSM is 40 minutes. It's a loooong 11. Personally, it's no better than a 10 on me but oh well... EDIT: PWNZ!! (edited by Priere on 07-28-05 11:47 PM) (edited by Priere on 07-28-05 11:47 PM) |

Now for the obvious question. How in the world did you get a 2098 combo on that song? Last time I played it, it didn't seem to have that many arrows Maybe that "C512" option did something, but whenever I switched to one of them that started with C, nothing different seemed to happen 6 toasties as well What's the highest amount you've ever gotten from one song, or is that it right there? I also see that DDR Megamix is on Bemanistyle, so I'll take that home tonight and try it. It's going to be interesting, mostly considering the length of it The longest I've gone straight in songs was about two hours on non stop (or whatever the name is), but there I got 5 seconds or so to give my hand a break between songs We'll see how it goes though |

Uh...no. That's the total number of tap steps in the file. That's what's called a full-combo. Just like MAX 300 has 573 and HVAM has 503. It will not exceed that in the combo. The C-mod only affects the arrow speed, nothing more.

Originally posted by Priere I understand that now then. Sorry for asking so many questions in this thread as of late, but there's been quite a few things that have caught my interest, and I couldn't resist wanting to look further into them At any rate, I'll try to keep them to a minimum from now on |

No no, ask more...I like your theories. C-mod changes tap steps...lolollers... |

Karma does that to me. |

Well, you don't really have to look very far on the net to see someone who can do Legend Road on an AVI and those that can FDP the damn thing. At the same time...I've seen people do PSMO Stealth. That's fucking nuts. |
