You hear people talk alot 'bout living life to its fullest, but what exactly do they mean? Is it making fun every single second of the day, like those dumb, beached surfers? Is it constantly pushing your limits, seeing how far your body or your mind can stretch? Is it gaining as much understanding and abilities as possible? Is it realising your dreams? Is it helping others out as much as possible? I don't know myself, but would like to hear your opinions on it. Oh, and again, this is serious. No drowning senseful posts in almost-spam and almost-flaming, like what happens alot.

It means something different to everyone, I think. But it is basically saying, IMO, to get everything you want out of life.

That phrase is abused sometimes, by people who smoke weed all day, and then say that's what they're doing.

But for the most part, it's accomplishing your goals in life (to me at least)

Rocking out every single day.

Of course, there's a lot more to "rocking out" than listening to heavy metal and headbanging

White, please edit your post to explain it more, otherwise it's rather senseless. Same goes for Woplock. Please stay to the topic at hand, as the No Crap states.

Anyways, it seems to come down to realising your dreams and ambitions. Then I have another question. What after you have achieved your dreams and ambitions? Can you still live your life to the fullest then?

Doing stuff and having fun while doing it is living life to the fullest, smoking weed is not living the life to the fullest. Becuse being sickly addicted to something is far from living the life to it fullest.

Having fun while doing some usefull simply.

And when I have reached my dreams, ambitions and goals. I just set up new ones.

Let me go ahead and reiterate some of the key points in my post

Nice, very nice avatar Max Payne 2 is the best!

And I agree with you, IMO it basically means to accomplish everything you want to in life before it's over. Sort of like making a list of things you want to do before you die and check them off as you do them.

Generally, i guess it means to experience everything they can, and do something active which satifies them.

For me, it would be achieving my ambitions, instead of say, stuck on the PC. But thats not gonna happen for a while.

You don't neccessarily have to complete them goals fully, as in some you can do more than once (Maybe get married twice )

Or after you finish your current goals, and after giving yourself a pat on the back, set up new ones (Like Kitten Yiffer said)

Living life to the fullest to me is to experience everything I can. Until I sink a submarine at 200 feet then swim to the surface on one breath of air then I have not lived my life to the fullest.

I have yet to meet anyone that "Lives life to the fullest"
I suppose it means do as much as possible at all times, all the time.
Sounds like a lot of work to me though.
I do what I want, when I want, or when I can, not just because I "should". If I feel like relaxing at home and snoozing away an afternoon, then I will. For me, that's living life to it's fullest. Living MY life to it's fullest.

-----edit------

Now that I think about it, all these threads with
"Serious Only"
"No Crap"
etc.
etc

Are getting rather annoying. People usually do stay on topic, and if they do happen to wander off slightly, it's no biggy. Hopefully this is the last thread like this.

Perhaps I should explain it. Let me add an addedum:

I can't explain it, but if you've ever seen someone rocking out at school or something, you'd know what I'm talking about.

Please, next time, don't bitch about a post just because it's short.

This should be in Officer's Club. As for how you should live you're life, you live how you feel fit. No one can tell you how you should live your life. they can tell you how they live theirs, and you can change your lifestyle accordingly, but there is no socialistic ideal how everyone should live.

To your fullest potential...don't get bitched around by anyone. You are your own person, so show it. Now if you need help, that's acceptable, just don't completely lean on anyone...and don't let anyone tell you what to do.

That's what I think.
