Huh...that's exactly what I did with my crew at Lv. 28 when I went against Two-Headed Dragon...I just wanted to see what I could do down there on a whim and I ended up killing it after a lengthy run. It had 4500 HP and I was originally only doing like...2 or 3 damage to it per turn while it was doing 200 to my party...and this is before getting to Bahamut to get my classes up...hell I just got done getting the Earth Crystal. XD

Ended up doing 800 damage with my fighter towards the end...it was enough to annihilate him after about five or so tempers to him and about two or three to my monk. They're weak, but they could do the job at that level.

Though I really need to go and get my levels up before I can continue...the other three on that floor completely annihilated me...I was lucky to get Slowra off on 2-Headed Dragon...or else I really would've been eating it.

Booya, Omega. Only took me 2 trips into the dungeon to take him out. After several failed attempts on my first trip, I took out

this wuss first. Ragnarok really helped too.

After all of this, I only have 6 words.

It really sucks to be Chaos.

If you train her as a mage, I'd recommend Cane and Shield, though pretty much everybody seem to prefer Bow and back row. The problem is that she wont get hit much in the back row, and thus wont really gain any HP until enemies start flinging powerful magic around that'll hit her no matter what, and then it's kinda too late. 20 HP doesn't really help when you're at a point where everybody have at least 10 times that, even if physical attacks won't affect you.

If you ask me, they should've made Chaos a hell of alot harder, or at least just upped his HP, comparing him to Omega is like an comparing an imp to the four fiends

Ya see, if you don't do the bonus dungeons till later, Chaos is a lot harder. The experience and equipment you get from those dungeons will let you own Chaos. And rather easily, at that.

I'm usually low leveled though... level 19 after beating Lich, which isn't really low, but.... whatever. Omega & Shinryuu were supposed to be tougher anyway.

I wish they made Ahriman tougher. He was a freak in FF3.

See, that's all my fault for forgetting (i.e. "not knowing") that Temper could be stacked on someone. All better now.

That seems to have been fixed in this version of the game. Stacking Protect over and over doesn't seem to help.

Now that I've slaughtered this game...back to my hack.

This game is reason enough as to why I'm wanting a GBA / DS.

And after seeing this thread, I can't wait.

Even though I have FF: Origins for the PSX, I think I'll enjoy this more. With a more altered system, extras, and probably no load times. (forgot if there were any for the PSX version? oh well...)

Well originally I went through FF1 with a Warrior, Fighter, BMage, and WMage. I think this time I'm just going to smack the game around with a Warrior, Fighter, Theif, and Red Mage.

Indeed this title looks well worth buying.

My favorite part was the Phantom Train

Yea, all in all, this game was another brick in the...

Oh, right

The game rocked!

Now I need to single-handedly convince Square to release FF3 on GBA and not DS, because I still don't want to buy a DS, but will have to for that

EDIT: Shouldn't the Bros Chap have a right to sue for the use of their coined term "burninate"?

I'm wondering if we'll maybe see a FF:Chronicles / FF:Anthology port to the GBA and or DS?

Well, FF3's going onto the DS and not GBA, so an anthology on handheld (which I would love to see) likely would go on DS... oh wait, no... I say it goes on PSP, actually. That's my guess.

EDIT: W00T! I finally beat Shinryu from FF5!

I have a game called FF1&2 advance and I am in the water shrine place and on the 9th floor or something like that. Bahumant tells me to defeat some different types of dragons. I defeated the dragons and there is a dragon in my way of the door what the hell now. Can someone really help me because I did a code called walk through walls for the codebreaker and gameshark and did not work even when it said to press the L button to go through walls.

s009, are you playing FF1 or 2? Bahamut asks you to do some stuff in FF1, but I haven't played 2 yet.

Anybody here have the excellent Japanese strategy guide which explains the game mechanics and offers maps of the extra areas? It's great. (Unfortunately, thanks to the declining dollar, it's getting more expensive to ship it from abroad.)

I never got to Shinryuu in FFV at the computer. I stopped playing it for a while and then some of my savestates were gone.

But I look forward to meet him when I get this game.

I've got this, is it just me or is the story much more looser in FF1, I'm finding myself going to GAMEFAQs loads just to figure out what the hell to do next!

That said I like it loads. Good game. Great music too.

I got it, too. So far I've only played FF1 and just defeated the Lich. It was the first strong boss I've faced (doing around 150 to my whole party while I had 400-500 hp at level 27).

Funny how I couldn't enjoy it on emulator but now I'm nearly addicted to it on the real thing.

You're basically where I'm at currently, too.

I'm now in that new Dungeon, the Earthshrine or something. (at least I think it's new...?)

It is definitely more enjoyable than the PSX version.

Funny, it took me up until the Earth Dungeon to realize that I could save anywhere ...

Yes, the EarthGIft shrine is new (the one you see after you're out of Cornelia, right?) is new. If I'm not mistaken, you get an optional boss in it.
