thanks in advance.

Your layout be not compatible with browsers other than IE. Fix your height to min-height:300px and make an exception so IE is the only one that sees height:300px;
Like;
#cyrus_lay_mid {
background: url("lay_bg.gif") 230px 50% no-repeat;
border-top: 1px solid #FFF;
border-left: 1px solid #FFF;
border-right: 1px solid #444;
border-bottom: 1px solid #444;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
width: 100%;
min-height: 300px;
}
* html #cyrus_lay_mid {
height: 300px; }

should work better.

Edit: Forgot to comment on it
It looks nice, it's a bit hard to see what's in the background though, tried aligning it to the faaaar right instead of just next to the text?

It fucks up in Mozilla. And to be honest I think it's pretty ugly; you can't really see what that thing is in the middle

You don't really need to look what it is in the middle... I just randomly pick a figure and put it inside to make a shape(or pattern)... And I know its very ugly now, thats why I'm asking for opinions here.

Anyway, I added some textures in the middle <div> and modified the figure a bit. And I fixed the error that happens in Mozilla too.

So, how do you think now?

I don't mind if that thing in the middle is unrecognizable, as long as it doesn't look bad, and I don't think it does

About the only thing I can think of with it is to maybe make the text stand out a little more ... either make it a little bigger or darker, I think the background (with the borders and all) is fine already

It does. I use Firefox all the time and it works perfectly. Now please tell me you aren't stupid enough to be logged out in Firefox (which uses different cookies than IE and you should know, guests can't see layouts ).

Changed that now.... made the font a little bit bigger and darker as well.

And I changed the <i> in the block quote as well to make it more suitable with the <blockquote>

I like it how you can make a sillouete design fairly easily and it just has a nice look to it like Jesper's Apple layout... Overall very nice and compatitble in FireFox!

There you are I nearly forgotten your post..

Basically, the image just stay in the middle to the right... I'm trying to make a pattern that could repeat when the layout stretch, but still no luck Oh well, I guess the image is long enough to put there, since I don't really think I could make such long post(except when I'm quoting a few people at the same time)

Ah, now that I see the whole thing ... it seems to be the guy Legion has as his user picture (whoever that is), just blurred a bit (copy-pasted it in Paint Shop Pro and did a Brightness/Contrast effect on it)

Doesn't stretch badly either, but then that was pretty simple

Wow, that's pretty cool The blue pattern makes the text a little harder to read, but the shape in the middle is spectacular.

I hope it's not too big in size, I can imagine a shape as big as that takes up a lot of bandwith running down to people's computers.

If it's a gif and has very few colours, then it shouldn't be very big at all, so I hope it is

Looking real good and showing up correctly in Firefox so you've passed the test.
