Can anybody please give me some detailed information on how to force Kazaa Lite Resurrection or Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.3 into connecting? I just had it a while ago, but uninstalling the older of these two programs caused the new one to mess up. I'm using XP SP2 on a DSL connection. |

Erm... I know there's issues with SP2's firewall, but why are you still using Kazaa? There's plenty of other good, reliable filesharing systems out there. | |||

Hmm. From what you've said, it almost seems like the uninstall of the older version could've removed a file the newer one needed to function properly One other thing I can think of is this: go to Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions, and try adding the .exe for Kazaa to that list. If you're using some other firewall program, you might try seeing if there's a way to make sure it allows Kazaa to connect. I agree with Colleen though. If you really want to continue using Kazaa, look up Diet K. I used that program a bit with SP2, and it worked fine, but I uninstalled it after finding another P2P program that I liked more. What you're using may basically be the same thing, but I liked it better knowing for a fact that the Kazaa install wasn't putting any spyware on my computer. Yep, there's a lesson. When you're upgrading a program, uninstall the old one first. A fresh reinstall of the one that you have left on your computer should fix it. Anyways, Kazaa sucks. Bit-torrent kicks arse. |

I friend of mine recommended Opera DC++. He said that it was better than the regular DC++ but whatever you do, don |
