Yeah... if they win tomorrow, talk about a hell of a way to break the curse. I think it'll go 5 or 6... Can't see the Cards swept but it would be nice to see Boston win it at home. |

4-1, Red Sox lead the series 3-0. This is not fucking happening. We are NOT one game away. ^_____________^ Derek Lowe vs. Jason Marquis. That matchup scared me yesterday, but we can actually play defense. Dunno if we'll win (maybe we SHOULD start Pokey at 2B and have Minty Fresh on call basically whenever) but I FEEL GOOD NOW. |

Ok then, here's the big question. Do the Cardinals get swept? I don't think so, for the longest time I have said that the Cardinals would win the series this year. Right now, that prediction isn't looking too good. The Cardinals are too good to get swept, but then again, I had them winning the series. *shrug* At most, 6 games. |

with the exception of the first game, St. Louis offense has just been shut down and they are unable to do anything against Martinez and Schilling. If St. Louis is going to win the series, they have to beat both Schilling and Martinez since I believe they are due up in games 6 and 7.

The Red Sox are about to win it all. I correctly predicted this on another board... if that means anything... :p |

About. Frigging. Time. I don't want to hear ANY complaints from Red Sox fans if you can't do it next year. |

Heh, I've already posted my feeling about this around the Internet, so I'll just say this. A few pages ago someone said something to the effect of "lol overpaid yanks fall on their faces". Don't forget, Boston has the second highest payroll in the majors, and Manny's contract was second only to A-Rod's for awhile (I don't know if that's still true). |

The current trend has continued true, this is the third consecutive year a wild card team has won the World Series. Angels in 2002, Marlins in 2003, and now the Red Sox in 2004.

I've posted this at EvilAvatar and MFGG, but, oh, what the heck. Well my fellow ACMLM members, the Red Sox are your new daddy. They have just swept the World Series against the Cardinals last night, finishing an 8-game winning streak to take home a trophy that has not seen the Boston area since 1918. The final score was Red Sox 3, Cardinals 0. The St. Louis team is a very good sport; after the 7th inning stretch they opened the gates to all fans, ticket or no ticket, to let them see history in the making. Speaking of "good sports," the Boston Police were able to keep the crouds properly controlled without the need of riot gear like the last win against the Yankees, which resulted in the death of a college student. Everyone was in good humor, and partied until 1AM. The Red Sox later partied in the locker rooms with lots of champange. If a champange shower is good for the skin or not, that's another story. |

well..it seems the city of Chicago is now um...the next in line with the Cubs not having won the series in 96 (or so) years and the White Sox in 87 years.

Oh... Pedro = THE MAN. Giving a tip of the hat to Montreal after the game last night. Mucho classy.

Originally posted by AcmlmI posted that on March 23 before the season started, and I was right about them finishing best 2nd behind the Yankees ... but I just thought they'd lose pretty early after (as usual), not go all the way to win the World Series and break records (especially the comeback against the Yankees, that was the best part) Good job Red Sox |

Yay, Milly posted about sports. I hear they're gearing up for a big-ass parade. Since Pedro gave a shout out to Montreal... any chance of the Sox taking the parade this way? |

Yeah, I also love how a disguised and disgruntled Yankees fan hits Pedro in the head with a baseball. Asshole. |
