First off, I am new to this so if the responses could not use huge technical terms that would be great

I am creating an .htm document using Microsoft Frontpage and I need to include a Javascript.

The script I need is from this site: Tooltip Site

I downloaded it, and followed the directions as best I could (putting it in the same directory [folder] as my document) but the script will not work.

I need the JS for tooltips that pop-up on mouse over (which I can do with the regular windows tooltips) and this JS just wont enable it.

I know it is something I am doing wrong, but I just dont know what I am doing wrong. This htm file will not be uploaded to a browser, internet page etc. It is just being run of my computer for personal use.

So any help would be great. Thanks

You need to configure the bit-shift protocol for true negative zero, and tweak the input buffer until the query comes out without MFC.

...Or you could do it the simple way. You don't need Javascript for that.

<img src=images/smilies/biggrin.gif title="This is a tooltip!">

<-- Hover over that smilie.

If you're using IE, it will display the Alt text (replace title with alt) but this is actually supposed to be the text that appears if the image is down.

Yes, I know how to make tooltips, but I want to make ones with BG's, pictures, make them stay on screen for a fixed amount of time etc. THATS what that JS at that site does. Just go there and hover over the picture of the guy on the bike. That is EXACTLY what I need to do. Now, if I can do that with HTML, that would be great. But when I try to include a BG, or other HTML (like < center>) it doesn't work. This JS enables that.
