| It's a bug. I just tried it out myself. I sent myself a pm, deleted it, and now I still have a notice saying I have 1 unread pm from myself. I know a fix. Have the person who sent the pm to you go to "Sent" and have them delete the pm that they sent to you. (edited by |+Legion+| on 11-08-04 12:24 AM) |

| But wait.. if the person who sent it can delete it... Unless this actually deletes their copy and not yours. Which it probably does... It seems like it stores two copies at first glance (with one going in the Sent folder), but if you delete it and it still counts it that's wrong.. It probably has a mechanism that says "hey, this PM was deleted from XXXX's box, but not YYYY's box", and if you delete it from both boxes, it completely removes the PM. Until the PM is completely gone, though, it likely counts it anyway.  |

Oh crap, he's a woman again...  That seems like a pretty stupid system if you ask me. PM's sitting in someone else's sent box shouldn't count against you.  "We need....a change!" Err, yeah.--Edit-- Nope, 100% sure they are deleted. (edited by Lenophis on 11-08-04 04:03 AM) |

| PM's are not removed from the database unless BOTH people delete them... consequently index.php and private.php should not be counting PM's that you have "deleted". I will submit a bug for Jesper to fix this in next release.... |

| I noticed this a while ago, and told Jesper about it. Apparently when you delete a PM, it really just gets moved to a hidden folder. (Because, if you really deleted it, it'd disappear from the other person's 'sent' folder too, which wouldn't make sense.) The 'new PM' notice still needs to be programmed to ignore that folder. | |||
