I'm thinking of creating a few funny flash movies for my new site (once it's up). I need a simple, yet powerful editor that is free. Help anyone?

Probably non-existant.

Best bet is cracking, probably Flash MX.

I was afraid of that, but as I'm no techno, I should probably just use the numerous little utilities out there.

Cracking a util isn't that hard...it's just you have to worry about the legality of doing it and finding one that works with whatever you have.

Alternatively, you could blow a couple hundred bucks...

True, but it's a couple hundred bucks that I don't have. I think I'll look at SSWF.

All you have to do is to download the MX 2004 trial and find a serial number. That's what I did. PM me and I'll see if I can find a serial number for you.

Thanks for the offer Smallhacker, but I just took at look at the system requirements for Flash MX '04.

My poor computer fails the test miserablly...
