Ahh! So... today I found out that I might get kicked out of my house soon, which really sucks because... well... I really don't have anywhere to go (except some friend's houses...) and I have no job... I don't think that getting a job will be too hard, but I honestly don't know where I'm going to live... I can probably live at friends' houses for a couple months, but I don't like being a huge burdon. Anyway, have any of you ever been kicked out of the house? If so, where your friends supportive? Extended family supportive? Eh... maybe I'll just be a bum for a while.. |

Yup, about ten months ago. I'm 18 too (and was when it happened). I stayed at my friend Jimmy's for a couple of days and didn't call home. I needed a shower bad, so after going to the movies with a couple of other friends I stopped by my grandmom's, and she let me stay there. A week in and my parents wanted me back. I said they should come up and we should discuss things first. The next week my parents took me out to see the same movie I saw with my friends, and I went back home that night. My mom kicked me out because I punched her in the gut. What did you do? (edited by merc on 03-22-04 02:32 AM) |

No, I've never been kicked out of my house...and it's a good thing too, because I would have nowhere to go...I have no offline friends, and the nearest family is about 60 miles away. | |||

I was never kicked out of my house, but I did have a job when I was 16, my choice. I know someone who is about to graduate high school and his father cannot afford him to live with him anymore (and my friend understands this) so he's looking for a place now to live and he has a job. Better start looking. |

Get a job, find a place to live. You'll have to do it sometime. I've had to work, and I am being kicked out of the house next year the very day I graduate from high school (I'll be 17 ) So, I'll be going to college and living on my own when I'm 17, and I'll have nowhere to go either. My advice to you is to quit whining and get working! |

I'm refusing to go to church (there religious fanatics....). Although I support your decision, prehaps you can make a sacrifice and bullshit the faith until you can afford to be honest? I'd give in for a bit to buy some time. Unless you'd like to live with your friend for a bit. Melvin: It's more complicated then I put it. Afterwards I used an axe on her. Originally posted by merc Assuming you meant an axe, that is even more sickening. That's just wrong and disgusting. She gave birth to you, dammit, and you use an axe on her??? Um... you scare me. Anyway, why would you WANT to live with someone who is kicking you out for not having the same religion as them? Sounds rather... totalitarian to me... I say get the hell out as quickly as possible, but that's just me, perhaps. If you needed some place to stay, maybe acting against your beliefs is ok in this case |

Well, I figured I'd either cut her good, or use my hands. I was getting weak at that point. (edited by merc on 03-22-04 11:06 AM) |

Okay, you obviously DESERVED to get thrown out of the home. Anyways, living at a friends is always a good safety net until you can get a job capable of sustaining yourself completely. I understand I have one living in the city with an old friend of his and he seems to be making out alright. (edited by Utilityman on 03-22-04 01:24 PM) |
