If you peek into the trash can you may see threads with titles like "reg here!" and "cool place check it out!" With a nice grey name nearby.  I actually find it kinda funny to see what admins'll put in place of the link. I tend to be partial to a good "yoink" actually.  |

| Well there is one thing Acmlm and PokeCommunity have in common. You both are freaks about links to other forums. That is probably because you want to keep your member, but I am a member of many forums and still go to all. |

You basically just can't make a thread saying "Go here or Die n00bles!" If you have a link, people will see it, thus, if they're interested they'll click it, if not they won't. |

| It's also mentioned in the FAQ: 15. Post rom/warez links on the board. You're free to exchange links with others through private messages, but do not post them out in the open. 16. Join the board with the sole intent of advertising your site/service/etc. Also, don't mass PM everyone through PMs. Most people here have lives and are too busy to deal with another board and do not wish to be bothered by it (heck, I used to post at six+ boards when I was younger). A small link in your sig or in your bio would be just fine.  |
