How about adding an option to show time in 24 hours to the next/an upcoming version of the boards?

That would be even far more interesting - it might be only required to define user specific variables and to "port over" the phpBB syntax

replying to this to remind myself to put a tracker in on date options in profiles... this should be easily done, since all the dates we store are int(10) timestamps we just reset the date forumat and dateshort in layout.php
