| I dont know if that show Cubix counts as an anime but I saw that show on FoxKids when it came on and it was the most retarded show ever. It was this cube that could like rearange itself. I know it was not an anime but it was Jap. It was some show with this jap dude that turned into a costume and and could turn huge and fight bad guys. And it wasnt american guys redoing the show it was just dubbed into english...beyond dumb. |

| Beyblade. I mean, tops? Fucking TOPS? People "battling" with their tops? Making strategies for spinning their tops into the opponents top when none of them have any control of those things anyway. And, worst of all: BEFRIENDING their tops? I mean, they're TOPS, not animals or semi-intelligent robots. Yeah, I only saw a few episodes. One of them had some guy who destroyed other people's tops because he liked being evil. Then the main character detroyed HIS top, and he started crying. Then the main character and his friends fixed the destroyed top, and the villain became their best friend. Or something. |

| That's not fair, there's plenty of horrible anime out there... I can name a bunch right now...by category! In no particular order: 1. Any show/spinoff that involves fighting over inanimate objects that can't hurt flies. Bring on the geeks! (Yu Gi Oh, Duel Masters, Beyblade, etc) 2. Any show/spinoff that involves fighting with monsters! (Pokemon, Digimon, etc) Fight your own battles! 3. Any show/spinoff that is so rediculously stupid it's not funny. Either in terms of idea, concept, or story. (Ronin Warriors, Thundercats, etc) Beyond that, there are some "ok" shows, but that's not the subject of this... |

| I didn't "get" Akira the first time I watched it, but now I've seen it a few times, I get it. The Japanese audience would've gotten it having had the advantage of reading the Manga. Of course, Akira is one of the very very few animes in which the lips actually synch with the voice acting, and for that reason, Akira was very expensive to make. At the time, it had unsurpassed visual effects and up until very recently was still the most expensive anime made.
