| At the arcade I frequent sometimes they recently got a "Ranger Mission" game. I almost thought it was mistranslated because of the garbled sound effects missing with the voice acting. I thought it said "eliminate the hostages and vanquish the enemy" but unfortunately (after waiting 5 min or so) it ended up being "liberate" when I heard it again. Too bad. On the other hand, there are a few awkwardly translated phrases in Chrono Trigger, usually later in the game. I think near the Northern Ruins's town. |
