| I didn't have a thing against scrollbar layouts before. But a LOT of the people currently using a scrollbar layout here are using one while it isn't even necesary. Not to forget, having a HUGE layout on top of that just so a specific image always shows up (Kasumi's layout, yes it pisses me off). Why, just WHY do people fill their layout with dumb scrollbars why they could make their layouts 'stretchable', so it doesn't add stupid scrollbars NOR it needs a huge layout even for 1/2-lines of posts. And Gywall, why the heck are you using a sig image wider than your whole scroll box? Why are you even using a scrollbar layout in the first place? (edited by Tuvai on 03-21-04 03:25 PM) |

His image fits just barely, when there's no scrollbar ... but not much text can fit before the scrollbar appears, and then you get both vertical and horizontal scrollbars  As for the post layout previewing ... just keep 2 browser windows open  One where you edit your profile and all, and the other where you send a private message to yourself and preview it (refresh the page), that should work pretty well ...But yeah, I don't really like layouts with a fixed width and height, especially when they're big ... I turned them back on when the board restarted, but having to scroll horizontally (in 800x600 or 1024x768 anyway) and scroll down almost a whole page just to read a fairly shot post isn't too nice Mine were always stretchable, and the biggest I've had barely filled half of the screen in 800x600 ... |

| I think it might be nice to have a link that pops up a little Javascript window with a preview of your post layout in a fake post. Either that, or modify my little Edit Layout hack so that it works right. |
