I use Slack 10 also. Never ever will use Microsoft stuff again.

I don't keep stuff like KDE or GNOME updated... just Gaim and Firefox really.

I'm using Debian 3.0 aka woody. I don't use a bloated desktop enviroment like KDE or GNOME. Other than IceWM and a few apps such as Galeon for browsing the web, Anjuta for an IDE, and Balsa for e-mail, I mostly use command line tools from xterms. I often have a dozen or more xterms running at the same time.

My PC dual boots into Fedora Core 1 (need to upgrade sometime) but is currently out of action and I don't have time to fix it right now. Other partition booting fine.. WinXP, which I only use for art, and I keep running for the benefits of my roommates.

I use Mac OS X, which is a BSD. Not Linux, but worth mentioning, as it is UNIX based.

I have Fedora core 2 on my other computer dual-booting with Windows 98. Slow as hell, but then FC2 is suppodsly a bloated distro and isn't made for old computers either.

I'm too used on Win XP for using Linux but I have used Wine, worked nicely even if it ran a game I tested slow. Correctly but painfully slow. But then I don't know if I should blame the Wine itself or the distro. :/

Planned to install Fedora core 2 on this computer too thought, never got around with it. But I have a spare partition where I can put a extra OS.

I know you're doing that to mock me. Here's a couple things:

1. Red Hat and Mandrake (which is a hack of Red Hat) suck. That's all.

2. I may not have been just in just saying I wouldn't use MS' OS again without reason. My reason was that I was having a hard time finding software for Windows that I liked or is the latest version of the said software (ports take a while). I just gave up with using Windows (already gave up with their other products, like IE or Office) entirely so I can have an OS that doesn't work so slowly, does what I want, doesn't require reinstalling constantly (or ever, *nix doesn't have to be reinstalled ever if it's taken care of properly. The same can almost be said of Windows, but Microsoft's code style doesn't allow it too much), and has the latest software I want. Also, XScreenSaver is awesome...
