What are your favorite Firefox Extensions? Which ones do you HAVE to make sure are installed and working?

Mine are:

Adblock -- particularly to block tne NSFW ads on FARK while I'm at work.

IE View -- cause sometimes I need to view things in IE.

ImageZoomer -- needed for looking at fine pixel art.

Firesomething -- All your branding are belong to Firesomething.

Gmail Notifier Lets me know when I have Gmail

What are your favorites?

I didn't have any extensions until I Saw your link to the Ad Block one. I Guess it's now my favorite.

I use the AdBlock/Gmail ones, although I should check into Google's Gmail thing as well.

That's the fun thing about Firefox - customize it the way you want to.

Yup, that you can. And that is why I'm currently running Mozilla Spacelizard

There are some funny extensions out there. You can even put google ads into Firefox (like in Opera) if you are so inclined. (why?)

IEView - Yeah, sometime people post images with the extension of .txt so this is needed
Quicknote - Just select a text, right click and take "send to quicknote". Great way of saving in-the-moment stuff.
FeedYourReader - Makes the RSS link point to my RSS reader program instead.

I used to use EditCSS which edits css in 'realtime' and webdevelopertools. But I'm going lite now

I use IE view, ImageZoomer (my favorite so far ) and Firesomething (is using a spoofed title right now...) . I'm not gonna check out ADblock since I don't get annoyed at banners, not at all. Just by pop-ups.

Gonna check g-mail notifier later on. Hopefully it's not a security risk.

Well I'm often on campus so I like to have Chatzilla (IRC client) handy. I think they call it the Extension room, all you have to do is google: chatzilla firefox, and that pretty much does it.

Actually I just noticed, I have Firesomething turned off but titlebar tweak turned on. It's made by the same devoloper thought. Firesomething is good for the random moments while Titlebar tweak is more static.

...I hate how you must restart Firefox to install the extensions. But that's better than restarting the computer.

I got FireFTP. It seems to work well, and since it was only a 20kb d/l. I love Firefox's extensions.

I usually use SBC Yahoo's IE Shell, since it's pretty well done, but Firefox is still good stuff. It's Adblock is something I got right after it's release and it hasn't exactly failed me yet.

Image Zoom is also pretty cool.

And for boredom, I've gotten a lot of those "Turn of CSS, Turn of Colors, Turn of Links" weird kind of tags.

I might consider to uninstall the CTC extension, since the Tabbrowser Extensions include that already

RadialContext - This replaces the context menu with pie menus, which basically function like mouse gestures. The main difference is that you can always see what you're about to do, which I like because I bork a gesture every so often. I'm aware that there are more flexible pie menu extensions available (like easyGestures), but this one works fine for me, and I don't particularly feel like learning a new set of gestures right now.

Super Drag and Go - Allows you to open a text link (like board.acmlm.org) by highlighting it and dragging it elsewhere on the page. "OMG ur teh lazy why cant u just copy it urself?" Yeah, I can copy, Ctrl+T for a new tab, and paste, but I love the efficiency of being able to do this in a simple gesture, and it's not like it interferes with normal browsing. Plus, I go to websites (like Fark) where text links are common, so this comes in handy often.

Rydain, there was a plug-in for auto hyperlinking text urls. You don't have to do anything at all, just click it. Ever seen that one? It was really handy but I took it off because it gave the links an ugly ass yellow box around it and it was an eyesore. :/

But if you're above that, it's really handy.

I don't have any firefox extensions at the moment.

I do sometimes like to take my pc for a pitstop though, and since the PC Pitstop tests use ActiveX controls, I rely on meadroid's neptune plugin to get the job done, so maybe I'll have myself a look at that IE View extension when I have more free time to do so.

I love adblock! I can block those annoying flash ads. yum <3

I use Adblock and the Googlebar, along with Flashgot. I just installed the GMail notifier, Firesomething, DragAndGo, and Download Sort, though.

Googlebar is good cause I dont like how the builtin one looks and isnt customizable. I got way too used to using it in IE

Legion - Are you talking about Linky? It adds a bunch of extra link-related features to the browser. I've never tried it, but that yellow box does indeed sound fugly.

On a more general note...why the fudge have I not installed AdBlock yet? I hate those monstrous CPU-hogging GameFAQs Flash ads. Granted, they don't faze the ultra w00t 9000 (a.k.a. my computer, which is still pretty fast although I haven't upgraded its CPU's and RAM in, like, 2 years - dual Athlons go a LONG way), but my poor work computer chokes on them.

Edit - Holy crap. AdBlock is godly. And Yiffy Kitten is using Firefox now? Wow...I sure miss a lot when I'm away from the board...

Oh I can't live without AdBlock. In fact, the ads on Gamefaqs were the first ones I blocked. Haven't seen one since.

And the best part about it?

I personally hate AdBlock.... I use userContent.css to block ads just as effectively.

The three I have installed are: Web Developer Toolbar, Linkification, and ImageZoom. Out of those, Linkification is my favourite since it gets used so much.

hahah the only extension I have installed is WebDeveloper, which Jizuko allows you to live edit CSS too...

Ctrl+Shift+E

it will let you edit any CSS File loaded by the page you are viewing.....

I'm going to check out AdBlock cause I have a super computer too but flash ads still always rape my PC a bit like at Anandtech
