| FF8 definently seemed the most futuristic. Most of the FF's though seem to be both medevil and futuristic to an extent. FFIX though was almost all medevil, and the art (backgrounds and such) were insanely detailed and awesome. I think it's called Hybird Fantasy, when it's a game being both medevil and futurstic at the same time. FF7 seemed a lot like this, Midgar? Yet you're still using swords, summoning beasts, and using magic in a way. A mix of both is the coolest. I'd say FFVI and FFVII had the coolest settings. |

| definently...too bad more games arent like that..the settings in the FF series can be awesome...I dont know another game that takes place in any time like FF7.. | |||

| Although not an FF game, the best setting for any game is a tie between Panzer Dragoon and Gun Valkyrie. The former a world where people ride around on rail based dragons that fire lasers in a bid for world control. The latter is about a group of people that are just plain awesome and how Hally's Comet has been used to harness power for the world, so colonization of Mars has occured in the late 19th century. | |||

| Final Fantasy VI struck me the other day as being Mexican. 1) The music (panpipes in Terra's theme / overworld / War of the Magi) 2) The characters (Terra typical damsel, Kefka freaky clown) 3) The empire's pyramid in Vector looks like an incan pyramid. |
