| i thought about a really great solution: don't delete the post. If you simply take a few extra seconds to make sure your post entry is correct and substantive, there should never be a reason to delete it. It seems more a people problem than a board problem |

That's not a problem. It's not something that can be done by accident, just like spamming. You enter a value, it just so happens that the value is something that isn't shown/ You enter a value, it just so happens that the value is something stupid. |

| How can it be used for their advantage? They might aswell just enter a dot, it goes quicker even. And if you mean deleting the first post, you can still see who made the thread and in future updates of the board, the threadcreator can't delete their first post. | |||

They aren't blank, they just contain tags/html code/whatever who aren't shown.  And honestly, who would write a html tag but nothing else by mistake? |

| Well there have been times that I accidentally hit Enter when the cursor wasn't in the textbox (which submits the post) or clicked Submit by accident, but then I just go back and edit the post. (I did post a few blank threads by accident, by hitting Enter when I was trying to type a ' in the titlebar. But I fixed them.) |
