Smeg, RS-Ball doesn't import colors. But there's a trick that's probably explained somewhere in this thread that explains how to use ?????? (aka MissingNo), PokePic (which DOES do colors) and RS-Ball's pointer editor to change trainer colors after all. If it's not explained earlier and you can still think straight (?) you may be able to figure it out from what I just typed.

Smeg - Just search for one with his colors, and if you find one with his colors and they don't work right, go ahead and export to bmp then switch the colors around and it should work, good luck!

Problem - Rubikon... hmm.. well.. I went through the tutorial and did everything it said exactly and um.. first of all, the game doesn't even start right, and I used a save state to get to the fat dude and his script just didn't work.. I don't know what I could have done wrong.. :/ I REALLY WANT RUBIKON TO WORK!! .. please help me

Um, I did check again. I see.. 1 thread about Rubikon. Wow. It really deserves its own forum for that one thread!

Can't all Rubikon questions, go in this thread? Isn't Rubikon part of EliteMap? So, it already has a sticky thread.

Why is the ExMap save function taken out in this version of Elitemap? O_o
also, when you use the logs from the tileset, it shows up as random tiles in the game...

ExMaps have been taken out for now because they were very very glitchy. As for logs, I suppose you mean that some tiles don't show up correctly in the game? If so, please specify the map that has this error and maybe the exact tile number(s).

Depends on which version of Rubikon you're using. I'm assuming the latest one, RKC.EXE, without the crappy GUI.

The command you're looking for is "applymovement", not just "movement". But, to make sure it works (had some trouble lately), use "#raw" instead:

#raw 4F spriteidx 00 pointer movescript

Then, use another #org statement to begin the movescript. The movement script is defined with another #raw statement:

#org movescript
#raw lots of bytes that denote movements FE

The most important movement bytes are:
00 - Look Down
01 - Look Up
02 - Look Left
03 - Look Right
08 - Walk Down
09 - Walk Up
0A - Walk Left
0B - Walk Right
54 - Hide
55 - Show
56 - Trainer exclamation point
57 - Question mark
58 - Love heart




As for Balin, I really should play the game more often to even know the exact effect to reproduce. But basically, why not take a close look at Registeel's map and see what map layout it has regarding people and traps etc, and the scripts used in that map? That can tell a lot.

For example, I recently discovered that command 9C is used for the loose builders and other Hidden Machine-enabled obstacles to play the whole summon animation and shit. Also used in Pok

Balin, that code uses a LOT of unknown commands. In fact, anywhere you see a branch to anything less than 0x8000000 preceded by an unknown command, it's NOT A REAL BRANCH. For now, try rewriting it with #raw commands:
