Ive decided to start a thread, whereby I will post a riddle or puzzle, and you will answer. I will have a scoring system. A right answer is 1 point, if you can explain why, thats 2 points. I will post as many questions until someone gets to say, 20 points. The winners will get a cookie, or something. I dont know. Post your replies, I will say whether you are right or wrong. As one gets answered correctly, I will add an extra oe. Well... (1) A young woman was found dead on an island with no food, water, or possesions. She didnt starve to death or die of ill-health, so what could have killed her? (2) Two men were drinking at a bar. Two women walk in and one man sees them boh and says, "I have to go, my Wife and Daughter are here." The second man notices the two women as well, and says the same. Is there a logical explanation for this? (3) Tracy died in Florida. Shortly after, Craig died at sea. Everyone was delighted, and NOBODY mourned. Why? |

(1) A young woman was found dead on an island with no food, water, or possesions. She didnt starve to death or die of ill-health, so what could have killed her? A coconut fell on her head while she was sitting under the tree. Duh. (2) Two men were drinking at a bar. Two women walk in and one man sees them boh and says, "I have to go, my Wife and Daughter are here." The second man notices the two women as well, and says the same. Is there a logical explanation for this? The second guy was drunk. Duh. (3) Tracy died in Florida. Shortly after, Craig died at sea. Everyone was delighted, and NOBODY mourned. Why? They were both assholes. Duh. |

1: She fell out of a plane and died on impact. 2: One of the women was the first man's wife, the other the second man's. Their daughters were waiting outside the bar for them to return with their fathers. |

1) She was a skydiver and her parachute didn't open. 2) The men were father and son-in-law. The two women were the first man's wife, and the second man's pregnant (with a girl) wife. |

2) Like NSNick said, the men were father and son-in-law, and the women were the father's wife and daughter. Instead of the daughter being pregnant though, the grand-daughter is being carried by one of the women. 3) They were tropical storms or hurricanes. |

Smallhacker - 0 points I'm not counting Kefka becuse he was just being stupid (1) A young woman was found dead on an island with no food, water, or possesions. (4) A Queen has twins by saesarian section so its impossible to tell who was born first. Now the twins are adults and ready to rule. One is intensely stupid, while the other is intelligent, well loved and charasmetic. Yet the uninteligent one is chosen as the next ruler. Why? (edited by Sergeant Billakov on 10-20-04 01:11 PM) |

Unless it's widths and heights are infinitly small, a point is 2D. (edited by Smallhacker on 10-27-04 11:47 AM) |

Originally posted by SmallhackerIn geometry a point is infinitely tiny in width and height. Now for my answers... 1) The woman was found dead on a traffic island, killed in an automobile accident. 6) The crew noticed that one of the magazines being used as a prop had a reference to the soap opera or a picture of one of their actors/actresses on it. 7) 128. The pattern is adding progressive numbers with digits in numerical order. To the first 1 you add 12 (one-two) and get 13. To 13 you add 3 (three) and get 16. To 16 you add 45 (four-five) and get 61. To 61 you add 67 (six-seven) and it gives you the mystery number 128. If you add 89 (eight-nine) to that it gives you the last number 217. I don't understand why when three was added it was alone though. 8) If a pilot was rogue he wouldn't be following commands. The command given wasn't for the rogue pilot, but rather for another pilot above him. To stop the lower pilot from bombing Germany, the higher pilot was ordered to bomb the lower pilot first. That's why the bomb didn't hit the ground, it hit the rogue pilot instead. Darn riddles... now my head hurts. |

yes, no, yes, no. So.... Reshaper256 - 8 points. ziratha - 2 points. NSNick - 2 points. Grey - 0 points. Smallhacker - 0 points 8) is acceptable, but its not the answer I was looking for. 6) During a soap opera, the crew noticd something that completely shattered reality in the soap opera. What was it? 8) A rouge pilot was about to bomb Germany! The command was given, tjhe hatch opened and the bomb released. Why didnt it hit the ground? 9) A man sails off on a cruise between Mexico and the USA. He does not stop at any ports and does not even come off of the cabin, yet he makes $300,000 from the trip. How? 10) Monica took place in a furious competitve race, which she won due to speed and agility. Despite this, she was not allowed to collect the winning trophy. Why? (Two possible answers, 4 points if you get both) Answer away! (edited by Sergeant Billakov on 10-28-04 07:28 AM) |
