N64 roms play well in terms of graphics and framerate for me. The sound is also crisp and smooth. But, there is one problem. When I'm playing some games, take Glover for example () the sound effects cancel out the background music! I might enter a level, and hear this nice tune, then run into an enemy of some sort whos making noise, and the background music stops. It will stop for the entire level, but sound effects will still be heard. It's quite aggrivating, because the game seems empty and lifeless. I am using project64 1.5 with Rice's video plugin and Azimer's audio plugin. I'll see if this happens with a more common rom, like sm64 once I obtain it. Edit: This doesn't happen with sm64. I also had a problem like this about a month ago when I when playing space station silicon valley. (edited by Dylan on 10-17-04 08:24 PM) |

Heh, not the rom. I'm using nemu now to play glover, with the default sound plugin, and I have no sound issues. Minor control issues, but its almost nothing. |
