How many of you like this show ? I love it. I read the book by Stephen King and loved it too. Anthony Micheal Hall is doing a damn good job being John Smith.

I've never gotten around to seeing the show, but I've heard good things about it, and I really should TiVo it sometime because I also loved the book. Did you see the '80s movie starring Christopher Walken? I thought it was a great flick and one of the better book-to-movie adaptations out there.

No, haven't seen it ... Yet ! I plan to rent it soon. I read the book, loved it. I heard from people that Cristopher Walken did a very good job in that movie.

Watch it! Trust me, it's worth your while. Christopher Walken is teh w00tness, but the quality of the source material really helps as well. On that note, what other Stephen King books and stories have you read, and which do you like best? I tend to prefer the writings that either involve nothing paranormal or personal powers like the ones that Johnny exhibits. Unless they're presented in a certain way (like the force of evil in It, which reveals its true nature over time and really creeps you out once you find out what it is), supernatural beings tend to seem like Halloween boogeymen to me. Incidentally, the stories that don't deal with monsters and whatnot tend to translate to TV and movies better as well...but I will admit that the cheesy little troll puppet in Cat's Eye (a movie adaptation of some stories in Night Shift) freaked me out.
