Has anybody gotten Megaman Zero 3 yet? I really enjoyed the first two, and was wondering what people thought of this one... |

Well I haven't played any of the past Megaman Zero games, but I'm a worshiping fan of the original Megaman series, and the X series. So, I thought I'd check this series out and see what it's about. I got a copy of Megaman Zero 3 and so far I'm really liking it. I hear the games are pretty hard, but haven't really had much of a challenge ... yet. More than likely I definently need to go back and play the others. (edited by Xeogred on 10-13-04 08:19 PM) (edited by Xeogred on 10-13-04 08:20 PM) |

From what I know, Zero 3's good... Then again, it's a Zero game. Translation: Capcom gives the gamer no mercy. |

Translation of my translation: Zero games are quite challenging. Moreso than a normal Mega Man game, from my experience. *sob*

GameInformer didn't like it...6.5 when I read it, course I had played it prior when the Jap ROM came out. It's pretty harsh for the view you get. Most times, if you don't know where things are placed, you'll die, it's as simple as that. The opponents to go against aren't as bad as 2, IMO. Actually, they're about as harsh as 1 was. |

My translation of Colleen. If you can't handle MMZ, then you suck at games.

Haven't gotten a chance to play Zero 3 yet. I don't know what people say is so hard in them. Sure, they're more challenging than previous Megaman Games, but's it's still pretty easy. Zero 2 is the easiest. Last boss was a joke. Well, the second form at least. I hope this one is the hardest of the bunch, then that would be cool. And it's true about the placement things. Some levels may take a couple tries becuase you don't know where things are...thus, you die. But after making that one mistake, you learn where that trap is, then you can breeze through and kick the Panthers ass. |

Ziff: I've been playing several games as of late, but when *I* can't beat the first boss in MMZ, something's seriously screwed up. ...Or it's just not my game. |

Zero 3 is definitely a step down in difficulty from the first two. If nothing else, you don't have to worry about powering up your weapons and you get incredible upgrades. Namely that one foot chip that makes it so that when you dash, you're invulnerable. To be fair, you can play without them, but I haven't tried it yet. (There are also Cyber Elves that don't die when used; I've never really used a Cyber Elf in my life, so take it as you will.) |

Like all megaman games after you beat the first boss the game gets a whole lot easier. I have beat MMZ2 and I am going to buy this one today, when I get home from school... Oh and your thing about how all MMX games are good is a lie! MMX7 sucks a whole bunch. Megaman should never be put into a 3D mode, unless it is done right. (Megaman 64 anyone?)

Originally posted by Colleen Ah yes, the guy you have a time limit on. Yes, he's hard as hell. One of the hardest boss in all MM game as far as I can remember. You have little HP, he is strong, fast, and somewhat hard to avoid.. and you have a time limit to beat him. Oh yeah. Just, um.. use the saber, and do your best to avoid him as you slash him quickly. Yes, it's hard. Keep trying. Mega Man games that sucked? Mega Man for Game Gear, and Mega Man and Mega Man 3 for PC. Horrible, horrible games. None of them were made by Capcom, and the GG game looks like they used half a day on designing it (the game consists of stages and bosses ripped from NES games, with minimum changes (Toad Man is much faster, and Bright Man's weapon now hurts everything on screen instead of freezing time.). Obviously, the NES stages weren't designed for such a small screen, so you'll end up dying from landing on spikes you never saw due to the floor being off screen.. It's really horrible. The PC games feature all new stages and bosses (Shark Man from the Battle Network series was taken from MM3PC), but.. well, it's just not good. Hard too. |
